Thoughts? Those that have them that love them/hate them. I feel it is more "me" and if I want the monster bling, we can do that later. I can stack my eternity band with other presents and create our own special history.

I think it sounds like a great idea! I wanted a solitaire myself, but I think you should get what feels more like YOU. And I like the stacking idea for later on:)

I love to see eternity bands used as engagement rings! It''s a very elegant look.

I have a traditional engagement ring, but lately I''ve been wearing it more on my right hand, and I''m hoping to get an eternity band (for an upcoming milestone anniversary) that I''ll wear with my wedding band.

I did a solitaire (albeit tiny) for my first marriage. I have my 3 stone asscher as my "push present", so I have some bigger bling. The eternity feels right for those reasons.

Any tips on how to pick for daily wear? I love the rings on the facets collection right now - any other suggestions?

I love the look! I would have been thrilled with an eternity band as an e-ring. I''m planning to get both an eternity and a very thin, plain platinum band as wedding rings so I can mix-and-match

Personally, I love the idea! I think I''ve decided that I want a five stone to act as both ering and wband. A woman I work with just got engaged and got a thin eternity band - I think it was a very classy choice and really more her style than a big solitaire.

And like you said, if you feel you want more bling down the line, you can always go for it!

I met "Lana" yesterday, a rep from Tacori, and she wore a beautiful 6 ct. radiant eternity band (a tacori of course) and it was stunning. She had a cute story. She
had a ring that she loved and her best friend got engaged a couple months before she did and picked her ring. So of course she felt like she couldnt get it too,
then just before her wedding, the engagement broke up! She stayed with the eternity, but someday she is going to get her dream ring with a 3 ct radiant. In the
meantime, her eternity was gorgeous!

I like the idea of an eternity band as an e-ring. But, more importantly, you love the idea. I''ve seen so many different styles on this site that I''ve really come to believe there are no rules when it comes to what is "proper" engagment jewelry. Do what makes you happiest, thats all that matters!

I love the idea of having an eternity band as your ering. I''ve always loved Memoire eternity bands.

I really like the idea of wear an eternity band as e-ring, I think you should wear what will make you happy. Some people like diamonds, some color stones. Probably when I have kids I will wear just my wedding band.

I think you can definitely get a lot of bling with an eternity band, for quite a lot less than a solitaire would cost. And they look great stacked.

Are you getting engaged LC?

I love the idea. I''m loving the Whiteflash u-prong eternity bands right now, but there have been many beautiful styles.

Demelza had a stunning Sasha Primak ring - I don''t think it was an eternity style, but if it could be made as one, it would be STUNNING.

I agree that it''s a really elegant look. Go for it if it''s you. I think it would be beautiful.

I''ve said it before and I''ll say it again, I LOVE this look! I think that if I had it to do over again, I very easily may have gone this route.

I think it''s a great idea. Actually, I have an eternity band as my wedding band, and I also have a plain 3mm band. For I guess about 9 months or so, this is the combo that I wear together everday. I love the look!

I have a PE teacher friend who never wore jewelry. For her, eternity ring was perfect as an ering. She pairs it with a plain gold WB.

I was toying with that idea for a while as well. I love eternity rings as e-rings! Go for it!

Ditto! This is a gorgeous look and I could see myself doing this if I could do it over!

Tritto This,,,, if I had thought about this 6 years ago, and didn''t rush into buying a ring. I could definitely see myself doing this

Another enthusiastic vote for the eternity band as e-ring. But of course, that''s what I chose.

I, too, love it!!

HI:

I could easily part with my ER, but would never give up my asscher eternity ring. It is a gorgeous look.

cheers--Sharon

I have an eternity band for an ering!

I got it in January, and i COULD NOT be happier with the choice i made. It took FI a teeny bit to come around to the idea, but i think he really likes it now too! i thinI think mine is the perfect size for daily wear (of course, i am biased) - it''s 10 pointers (3mm wide) and it''s a U-shaped prong band, which lets in a lot of light and sparkle. Mine was locally made, but there are quite a few PSers now who have one that is made by WF - it''s called the Annette ring i think.

Mine totals just over 2 cts and i love it, and honestly it''s a great size, never bothers my hand, and is pretty noticeable i think. I''ll attach a pic for you....

Oh, and p.s.....someone up above mentioned Demelza''s GORGEOUS five stone ring. It''s honestly stunning and it is available in an eternity - it''s sasha primak. I''ll try to find the linky for you.

Litigatorchick, i forgot to mention that Kaleigh has an eternity band from signed pieces that is TO DIE FOR. it''s around 3.5 tcw (i think) and she recommends the quality highly from earlier posts i''ve read.

And neatfreak has the pave domed eternity band from them and seemed very happy with the sparkle factor (hers is beautiful too!). see here: http://www.thefacetscollection.com/item.cfm?item_id=3946

Yes, that is one of my favorite looks! A shared-prong diamond eternity with a plain metal band is my favorite pairing.

I definitely love the look!! There are many days when all I wear is my five stone (see avatar). It''s a great classic look, although people may think that you are married in the mean time. That wouldn''t bother me, but it may other some.

LitChick, I think this is a lovely idea. My boss got his wife an eternity band when they got engaged. I think they had discussed her e-ring preference to some extent, and she told him that all she wanted was an eternity band, which would serve the purpose of both e-ring and wedding band. So that''s all she wears, and it''s a very elegant look!
