Eternity band affecting platinum prong of ering?

Hi Everyone! I have an eternity wedding band with diamonds all around and my ering is set in a Tiffany''s style 6-prong, knife edge setting. I just noticed that 2 platinum prongs on my ering have scratches, that I presume are from my eternity band sitting next to it. My question is, will durability of the ering prongs be affected by the band being up against it? I wear my ering and band about 2-3x a week at most.
