Anybody else have an eternity band addiction? I LOVE this look.
Yesterday on the subway I sat across from this lovely, elegant woman in her 40s with a stack of maybe 5 eternity bands stacked on a long, slim finger. Much as I love the great big frak-off solitaire, something about the stack makes me happy ... maybe because it seems like such a tangible set of memories (or maybe just because since I love collecting things, it speaks of a rich and varied collection). Her stack was nice and colorful - looked like a diamond baguette band in a white metal, something green in yellow gold (tsavs?), rubies, the works.
I've gotten an eternity band for each anniversary so far: a bezeled marquise-round sapphire-diamond band for the 1st year, an Alex Sepkus Circle band for the second year (and a bonus channel-set round band on our first halfiversary). I sort of like the idea of getting a new band each year we're married - like a little tiny renewal. Dunno if I'll be getting one this year the straighforward plan is to have a pendant made up, but ... a girl can hope, right? There's a gorgeous ruby baguette band I've been hinting about ... we'll see if the husband picks up on it!
So: since we haven't had a stacking band thread in a while, show me your bands? And tell me what you want in the future .... Me, I'd love a ruby baguette band, a bezel band of alternating rounds and princesses, a bezeled marquis diamond band ... and, maybe for a big anniversary, a really sleek diamond baguette band of 3 or 4 carats.
