Entertainment at party

We recently attended a private jeweler's party and part of the fun was watching a top jeweler working at the bench to create the setting for this stone. I got a photo - looks like an ice cube!

The sales rep told me it was 53 cts but I don't know if I heard her right over the noise, maybe it's 15 cts? Anyhow it was fun. The jeweler was so quick with his hands.

Here's another of the jeweler's bench, the ice cube is upside down here and there is a big emerald at the upper right as well as some other smaller EC bottom left, a good sized stone dwarfed by giants!

Is THAT a diamond?

I did not get to handle it, but was told that yes, it is a diamond. Don't know how a person would wear one this size. The jeweler was making a prong setting for it, but I could not tell if it was to be a pendant or ring.
