Hi, everyone. Haven''t posted here in a while... Just a little busy with life.

On 27th December 2009, the engagement was made official before both families. I include a few photos of the E-ring here.

And wasn''t her ring a split shank? Were you able to do an upgrade? The new ring is gorgeous as well and I can''t wait to see handshots!!!

Spot on! I proposed to her in June with the classic little split shank, and had the ring resized by the jeweler. I don''t know what happened but the ring came back with one of the melee diamonds missing. We were quite upset about it as we love the ring and I wanted to present it in the official ceremony in December. But I was hesitant about getting the ring repaired again and voiced my concerns to David Friedlander of Diamonds by Lauren. He offered an upgrade as a replacement ring at no extra charge! So this time round we both picked this elegant ring and she adore the tint in the diamond. While I still miss the split shank, we''re both happy that Diamonds by Lauren came through for us and then some! Their excellent customer service turned a worrying experience into a joyful one, so I can''t thank David enough.

I loved the original ring as well! But the new one is just as beautiful! It looks huge on her finger! I''m so happy that you''re both happy! Congrats again on the engagement, DF!
