Click the link above it takes you to the ring.

There are a bunch of them. Please post which one you want our thoughts on in this thread.

The main question was what do you think of the first stone top picture and certificate? I am ambivalent to it as an old cut and suggested that it is too shallow, the wrong cut pattern to be a OEC, badly cut if its a RB and average if it is a transitional. I suggested some AVRs the OP doesn't want a AVR, so I suggested this as a transitional instead, which I can see has a biggish table but it looks like a better cut and prettier stone to my eye. Having said that you can't see much other than the dark areas in the pictures of the initial ring which is the stone she currently has. I assume it is average going on the numbers on the report and looking at the pics and she is paying a premium for a VVS stone as well.

So the top first ring versus this diamond she has currently on hold;

I also suggested if she wants a modern RB or an Oval or Pear to post in the main section and you will all help her find something else that is awesome for an equivalent value.

Her budget is around $7000.00 to $7500 for the stone and under $10 000 if possible for the whole ring.

Other suggestions of old cuts and a few modern ones thrown in?

She wants something white and eyeclean which rules out a lot of the OECs I would automatically suggest because they are lower than a H in colour.

I think she could go for the above linked tranny or a top cut RB in that type of setting and be better off than the initial ring she currently has what do you think?
