Hello lovely people,

I have been in touch with ID Jewelers for a diamond ring for my sister (I'm being a good big sister and helping out with the purchase).

We are looking at this stone - can the PS Experts please help validate so we move forward?

Thank you so much!

Cut: Excellent (GIA)
Carat: 1.20
Color: I
Clarity: VS1

Key Stats and IS Images attached. Yekutiel has confirmed that it is eye clean and is *the bomb*. Any concerns?

Hi OP,

I'm no diamond expert, but I believe there are a couple of issues with this stone:
- pavilion angle would have been nicer at 40.6 instead of 40.8 (40.6 works well with high crown angle 35)
- that probably explains while you have leakages in the center of the stone (refers to aset and IS image) which also refers to the imperfect hearts and arrows image.
- lower half girdle is 80% instead of 75%. nothing is wrong with this, really it's up to your preference as to bold flash (75%) or pin point (80%)

All in all, it is still a nice stone but not perfect. It's really depends on whether the price is right or not ?

We are trying to decide between 2 diamonds from ID Jewelry. Any help making the decision would be greatly appreciated!!

Budget for the stone is $6,800.

Specs for the first are detailed above. Here is Diamond #2:

From the images, #2 is better than #1. I'm concerned about the dark inclusion on the table of #2...is it eye clean and at what distance? Did you see the stones in person?

I have not seen the diamond in person, and will likely not be able to before purchase. I will get confirmation from Yekutiel on how eye-clean it is.

Really appreciate your response ac117, thank you!

IDJ will tell you how visible the inclusion is. Ask.
