Hello! I'm new. My husband gave me this ring as my engagement ring in 2014. The jeweler he purchased it from guessed it was from the 1950's. It was resized from a 5 to a 7. The inside of the band has no stamp except a very faint P 14 K which I assume might mean it's 14 karat plated. I would appreciate any information. I have a background in history and just really want to know more about the ring and style of the ring. Any leads appreciated.

It's pretty! It's very much in the retro period of styling. Looks like it would be a comfortable ring too!

My dear, your beautiful ring needs a good clean!
What you need is an old soft toothbrush and a dab of liquid soap in some water. Put your plug in the sink. Then gently scrub away at the underneath and across the top. Then rinse under plain water and put on a cloth to dry.
Voila it will be all sparkly once again.
