Engagement Pictures - How did you decide what to wear?

We will be taking our engagement pictures this weekend and I am having a hard time deciding what to wear! First set of pictures will probably be in a park with a lake (weather permitting) and second in a Brew Pub with stone walls and fireplace. I'm thinking jeans, boots and sweater for the outside shots and then a skirt and top with tights for the inside.

I may just bring a bunch of different options in the car. So, how did you choose?

I didn't want us to be too far out of our normal clothes, so I just spruced up the hubs and wore something I'd wear for a nice date. I linked our engagement picture post below. I think the idea of jeans, boots and a cute sweater (don't forget your fun accessories!) and then a second outfit of a skirt and nice shirt would be perfect! Get your fiance in some nice fitting dark jeans and either a button down or a vest or something to snaz him up a bit more than everyday, but still looking like himself. Go for a total YOU look, ya know?! The pictures will turn out very personal and not quite so pose-y.

I agree that you should wear something just a little nicer than your usual casual wear, as if you were going on a casual date. It should feel comfortable and you should feel good. You'll look much nicer in your pictures if you think you look good! We had ours done two weeks ago, and I have been feeling really fat lately so I opted to wear a jacket to cover up as much as possible. While I'm very happy with how the pictures turned out overall, the jacket really only made me look bulkier and lumpier. It was a bad idea. I think a sweater is a good choice, but I think I would stick with one that fits you well and isn't too bulky.
