I have been a lurker for awhile and just recently decided to post some pictures and my engaged story.
We got engaged back in August after almost 8 years of dating. We had been actively looking for rings for awhile but had no immediate plans (I honestly thought it would happen on our anniversary in December). On day he surprised me (which is hard on it''s own right because I am super nosy!) and took me to a sleepy little beach town where we spent the night in an old bed and breakfast (The first vacation we took together we stayed in a bed and breakfast which he was trying to recreate), we had a great dinner at a fancy restaurant, champagne under the stairs and went to bed. I was a little surprised when nothing happened that night since I sensed something was going to. The next morning we had a great breakfast in a little diner, did some window shopping and then the surprise...a sailboat ride! I love sailing and did so growing up but havent in many years. He arranged for someone to take us out for the day. About halway through the trip he wanted me to sit on the bow with him and take pictures and that''s when he asked me. I was so worried it was going to fall in the water that I grabbed and put it on my finger before I even said yes! He had champagne waiting and it was perfect. He hid the ring in a camera bag since my camera had previously been broken so hopefully I wouldn''t catch on as quickly. So I got a new camera too!
