emerald cut ?

Hi everyone, I have a question about emeralds. I don't know a whole lot about them. But I am looking for something around 4 cts. I did see one that I really liked, but when I did some reading here I see that the table it VERY large.

Is a large table an absolute deal breaker? Should I still consider this stone?

I don't have much info. Just that it measure 10.2x8.7 with a depth% of 61.4 and table of 74%.
the color is J, but I didn't see any warmth. From the side or top.


Also should I be looking for a certain amount of steps that I can count when I look into the stone?

this really isnt enough information to make an informed guess about its cut quality however-i would never purchase a stone with such a large table unless somehow it was justified based on the stones particular unique qualities. i would be curious to know the crown height and the girdle measurement. despite a fairly ideal depth the stone seems to measure small for 4 carats.
