I've been looking around with my girlfriend for an engagement ring she might like. We visisted Jared's Jewelers in Tucson Arizona and they had a diplay case of Elara rings. My girlfriend loved the round 3-stone platinum ring as well as how low the diamonds set on the ring. I noticed on the ring where normally there would be gaps (below the 3 main diamonds) they have placed tiny diamonds in the gaps. Apparantly this is something Elara commonly does according to the sales associate. I hoping to possibly find a ring setting very similar if not exactly the same as the Elara that I saw in the store. The band was 3mm wide so I dont think the photo im attaching is exacly the same ring width. I was thinking about possibly buying a ring and the diamonds separately to save money. My questions:

Are there any other companies that put tiny diamonds into the gaps like Elara?

Does anyone know of a ring setting like the photo I've posted with a round setting?

Would you recommend I buy an Elara ring?

Hi, welcome,
I am not familiar with this particular designer, but Ritani is someone who has many designs withn diamonds in the head and prongs. I''m not sure if they have just this style, but they have an extensive collection, so may be a good place to start.
You can view the whole collection at Ritani website or Pearlmans'' collection online stocks them , who are very helpful.
good luck

Here is Elaras website ...

Click on rings...and scroll down to your three stone. They call it CROWN 3 STONE 313. I can see why she liked it. It has a profile of a crown as in a Princess. Pretty cool. I have not seen stones set in that fashion before. A Jaffe sold at Pearlmans does set side stones...but usually just a suprise round bezel set. What you are looking for almost looks triangular...or maybe it is a trio of three set in a triangle. Most creative.

Up at the top of their site is also a Find Elara link. You can put in your zip code or a distant one and obtain several retailers. Inquire if you can get a better price elsewhere.

Lastly...I would contact Whiteflash and ask if you can get one custom made...similar. You would have an option to get a non Elara branded diamond...and use the color and clarity of your choice...white gold instead of plat...maybe a thinner shank...some custom features to really change it up ...and yet still attempt to hide some stones in a crown type environment...and all of these altering options may help you get to the price range you were hoping for.

Mark Morrell has created a solitaire setting he calls the Torchiere...you might also ask him if he would take that design into a three stone...and instead of a crown, the lines would convey flames...but he is not really for the budget minded...detail minded yes. Smooth and fluid but only works in platinum which is going to be the most expensive metal choice right now. She would love his work!
