Hello. A diamond I am looking at has an EGL cert# that starts with the letters "AX". I just want to confirm that this is an EGL Belgium report....is that correct?

I intentionally made sure it was a diamond with two color grades higher than I wanted. It also scores extremely well on the HCA.

I did a search but didn''t find too much about EGL Belgium.....mainly comments about EGL USA and Israel. I did see someone say that EGL Belgium was about a half grade more lenient on color and clarity. Anyone have direct contact or experience with EGL Belgium stones?

What ever you do if you are buying unseen - have the stone shipped to one of the appraisers in the list in the upper right under resources.
You can find one near you - or one far away - it is not that important
