Hubby wants to buy this for me for x mas. I am wondering if anyone knows if there are durability issues with it or anything I should know about(diamonds flying out). I have never purchased effy before and don't want him to spend money in something that isn't worth it, kwim? By the way, the store has this ring about 60% off, so don't use the store price.

Here is a pic I took from my husbands IPhone...It looks like yellow from the pic, but it is a really pretty rose gold color IRL.

I had never heard of effy before! Who carries it besides Lord & Taylor? What are the hallmarks of the line?

Is effy a brand name? I always see it in ebay jewelry auction titles so I thought it was an acronym like OOAK or EUC. The hand shot looks amazing, totally luxurious but am less than wowed by the detail on the lord and taylor picture. What is it closest to in real life? At 60% off it doesn't sound bad. You might also be able to negotiate a cash discount.

I agree the website picture is blah. In real life it's very detailed, and it feels like a 10k ring. I have been eying this ring for 2 years.
The hand shot (as horrible as the pic is) is closer to real life as far as sparkle and detail go. The pic is closer as far as gold color. Hubby put it on hold at the store till I can decide for sure. No cash discounts sadly....those department stores are a pain with haggling.

Effy is very popular up here at macys, lord and taylor, and a lot of b m stores. I think I saw them at a b&m store down in KY too. I guess it's a new designer.

I have four Effy rings and have never had a quality issue with them. I prefer rings with a low profile so I cannot speak to the OP's question but I can tell you his workmanship has been firstrate as far as I can tell.

Thanks! That is reassuring. I will give Hubby the go ahead!

Dont know about durability but its a pretty ring and looks like it would be fun to wear!

I got so excited about the 60% off that I forgot to say you are so lucky to have such a great husband. Or perhaps your an amazing wife. Most likely both. Anyways, its nice to see somebody getting spoiled out there :)
