Edwina’s Little Friend Gets a New Dress

Ah, project completion! Ok, so this isn’t a big achievement but it’s satisfying to be able to wear this finally!

When I brought home Edwina, she had a little 3.4mm OEC friend attached, which I thought would be great as an extra piercing! But then I chickened out.

So after mounting this sweet baby in a 14k white gold Stuller bezel, I decided not to pierce. I was mad at myself for being a coward. In a fit of pique today, I clipped and filed the post off and drilled some side holes. Then I strung her on a thin 14k rose gold 18” chain, which sits snugly so she is almost (but not quite) fixed in place.

Voila! A minimalist, vaguely-vintage-style daily necklace. I predict she will be one of those 24/7 kinda things.

I’m glad I bought that Dremel tool last year. Great to finally use it!
