Would a 1.75-2.00 ct EC with a ratio of 1.4 in a 3 diamond setting (ECs on each side) look "larger" than it is than if it were in a solitaire or multi-diamond setting?

Where it looks like a 1.4 is about the traditional shape of an EC, longer than, say 1.45 is not as elegant and even though I like some of the lower ratio square look, then it doesnt really look like an EC.

Trying to determine which setting in w/g, with all the other specs being in place (VG cut, symmetry, polish) and table under 65 and depth under 67) this ring will be glitzier, for an EC, anyway.

So, are you asking which setting the EC will look larger in- a solitaire or 3 stone? Just want to make sure Im following you...

Hi, basically yes.

Hmmm. two totally different looks....You should really know what type your wife prefers...A solitaire is going to showcase the center stone, whereas a 3 stone will give you more finger coverage (but that''s not necessarily better)...With the 3 stone. you would appreciate the ring as a whole, whereas with the solitaire, all of you focus is on the center stone, if you know what I mean... You just have to find out what she likes to make a final decision when it comes to this....I think both looks are lovely...
