Thanks for the warning, PinkAsscher. I'm in an area with a flood warning, but I had had no idea. Once you alerted me, I checked it out on the computer. I don't live on the water, though, so I'm not going to panic. I hope everyone else is OK.

I have a free rental, so if anyone lives in a really unsafe area, fly to Seattle (seriously!). I got so much help when I first moved to New England, any New Englander is welcome in my house!

I know how horrible floods can be - in Iowa where I used to life for a year one person driving a car managed to drown in a pit full of water. She could not see that there was a pit in asphalt because the water surface looked very smooth.

It's pouring here, tomorrow will be a lot worse.

I hated getting the roof done this fall....Took forever...

BUT am so glad we had it done, we would be done for this winter...

This past summer?? Hello what summer?? It was cold and rainy..

Then over 80 inches of snow??

I am cranky people!!!

And am sick.

Washington. We live in a nice suburb close to Seattle. It is far away but Jet Blue is an overnight red-eye flight; it is not as difficult as people might think. But some areas can get hit badly and for a long time, like I saw once in Midwest. Several states were flooded, so people really had nowhere to go.
