Greetings!

This forum has been invaluable in our wedding planning process and simply wanted to post some photos for those that might be looking to consider certain settings & vendors as I was unable to find many real world examples. I'm not sponsored or receive any gains out of this.

Below are photos of a Brian Gavin H&A Round 1.045 ct G SI1 on a 18K White Gold Sholdt Minnie Setting and a e-weddingbands.com Platinum 4.5mm low dome comfort fit PL950/Ruthenium wedding band with engraving on the inside.

One of my criterias for a wedding band was to have an unmarked / unbranded ring. While my experience is limited, I know that whiteflash bechmark rings and james allen stamped . Additionally, I was in the search for PL 950 / Ruthenium mix. I'm not a metal expert but opted for it's hardness & ding resistance over the iridium alloy. Will I notice a difference? Not sure! :wall: e-weddingbands fit my criteria's and they also had free engraving and a summer sale of 20% off platinum rings to further sweeten the price.

Initially, I was on the fence about engraving the inside of the ring and whether or not it would be irritating to the skin or legible for that matter. The engraving turned out slightly more coarse than a clean stamp, however the touch and feel is not noticeable on the finger. While it's not stated directly on e-weddingband's website, they can do symbols! I opted for the infinity symbol (keyboard short cut alt+236).

I posted the thread without completing the title of the thread! Is there a way to modify the title now that it has been posted?

Nice looking ring. I have purchased two rings over the years from them. Nice quality for a reasonable price. Good luck with the rest of your wedding planning.

Do you have a daily ring you wear? I'm thinking about purchasing a white gold as a daily ring

I had to have a completely unmarked, uniform wedding band, as I had an orthodox Jewish wedding and this is a traditional custom that my Rabbi felt strongly about. I was able to work with eweddingbands and they were GREAT! They put no markings whatsoever on or in my platinum wedding band, not even a PLAT stamp. They were a pleasure to work with and completely understood my requirements. Highly recommend!!

Sadly, e-wedding bands has changed what they sell. I have three of their heavy domed comfort fit bands -- 4mm platinum wedding band that weighs 12gms; 4mm 14k rose gold; and 3mm YG.
I had searched for bands that were high/thick and hefty. They were having a good sale, so I thought I'd buy the deeper-colored 10k 4mm RG band. Described on their site as 2.3mm thick, "unlike standardsbands that are 1.7mm"
Received yesterday and it's flat, thin, disappointing. Thought they'd sent the wrong one. Nope! They no longer carry the heavy thick bands, in case anyone needs to know that. Not sure when they'll change the description on their site.

My 2 year old heavy domed 5gm 14k rose gold on right, next to the 2gm thing they sent this time. It feels like slipping on a prop ring, I'm so used to wearing the thicker, heavier bands, which are all comfort fit and feel like slipping on a ring with a silk interior.

Disappointing and headed back. They've done some other questionable things in the last couple of years. I wonder if the business changed hands. They'd always been so lovely and helpful over the years. 20181022_221600.jpg

That's such a bummer :( I just checked the site today and the 10K 4mm RG heavy domed band is described thus: "It may be noted that our regular domed bands this width are approximately 1.5mm thick while this style runs about 1.7mm thick." so to answer your question of when they'll change the description, it seems that what you received is correct to the current description. What terrible timing if it changed after you ordered it :( Seems like a no-brainer for a return + refund.

I had multiple convos with customer service in April 2016 when we ordered our bands, trying to understand the thickness of the different lines. Back then I was told: "The domed comfort-fit bands are very standard/mid-weight in their thicknesses-- usually about 1.5-1.8mm (depending on the width). The heavy bands are thicker options-- these come as thick as 2.3mm (again, depending on the width)." And they also offered what was called a Euro dome and Euro low dome, which were the thickest/heaviest offerings. Those definitely seem to have disappeared from the site. So, yes, a big difference in thickness! Thanks for the warning.

I had a few wedding bands welders, and loved the thickness.

Very disappointed with them now.

They've also removed their video descriptions, which used to be a nice touch. I don't consider 1.7mm to be 'heavy' at all.

Ok! They changed their products, that makes so much sense.

I ordered a heavy-domed platinum band from them a few months ago and was so confused & disappointed when it arrived. I returned it. It just felt... too light and underwhelming. I have another band from them that I bought many years ago and I love it.
