Hello experts,

I think I have finally narrowed down the E-Ring I want to purchase but wanted to get some final opinions before pulling the trigger. The specs and link to the stone and setting are below. I am ok with the color, just wanted to make sure I'm not overlooking anything, specifically if the HCA of 2.0 is alright and if the price is good. Thanks for all the help.

It is rather deep at 62.5. I don't go under 62.3 and preferably under 62 because greater depth often means the stone faces up a bit smaller. You said you are ok with K color, but is she? I do not recommend K color for an engagement ring because it is going to show some tint. I'd much rather have a 1 ct J. Plus you can go down to VS2 or SI1 which will help on the cost.

Yea the line between K and J has been a serious debate in my head, but she has ok-ed some K stones and EGL J's we have seen casually browsing brick and mortar stores. I do like the stone you found, but it has a lower HCA (3.4 VG G G VG), would this be an issue?

The images are showing good light return and minimal leakage. It also has fluorescence which is a real bonus in a J because in certain lighting, it can make it face up whiter. Maybe B2C can pull both stones for you and compare them. Jewelry store lighting is deceiving, and she will see the tint more in that K when she gets it out into other lighting environments.

Any other opinions about the original stone?

I don't want to be a debby downer either but I agree it is a little steep and I wouldn't go below I color for an ering (unless your getting vintage stone. Are you going for the size first??????? Is your GF okay with K......

I will also look for alternatives B2c seems to price lower but that's not to say your getting a better deal .

The steepness is starting to make me question it. The calculator at **edited by moderator, no affiliate linked websites please** actual claims its 62.6%. How does this effect the stone? Will it not look its size? Will it look more like a 1.2 or a 1.1 ?
