Let''s say that there are two diamonds. In common they have carat, clarity, girdle, and culet.
One is an E colour and excellent cut. The other is a G colour and ideal cut.

Which one would you choose??

The diamonds in question are:

I would call WF and see if they are "eye clean" guess the first is not in house yet.

Both seem like nice stones.

I would go with the second one. It scores a 1.1 on the HCA, plus it''s one of the WF a cut above diamonds. With the first one, there are no angles so you can''t run it through the HCA to check it''s cut. You could always send WF an email to see can they find out the angles for you but from just looking at them now, number 2, provided it''s eyeclean.

Here''s another one that scores a 1.5 on the HCA from whiteflash which is slightly higher in color.

whiteflash stone

When you search on the WF site, search the ACA''s and then search Expert Selection. Those are the in-house stones. Don''t bother with the virtual listings like that E stone. The value of WF to me is that they cut their own stones to perfection and I would want one of theirs, not a virtual stone that could be ordered from any vendor.

When I was looking for a stone (maybe still am) I contacted Whiteflash and let my rep know my parameters. Size, color and clarity range as well as a an AGS0 or GIA excellent that would pass whiteflash''s standards.

She had access to stones that were NOT in house but they weren''t on the virtual list either. Stones that suppliers they work with have. I found this to be a good option for someone looking for a great stone as it takes the guess work out of the virtual listings.
