Ok, it has been just shy of a week. Initially I thought the interview went AMAZINGLY!!! I was there for the best part of two hours and the gentlemen commented on how much fun that was and how lovely to meet me etc etc. One of the men even said, you won''t hear from us as HR has strict rules on that so you won''t see us again until your first day. He then explained the first week orientation etc etc.

Well now I am doubting myself thinking perhaps they were being friendly vs. NAILED IT!

I am so unhappy hear at work and it seems like someone is layed off here everyday! It is time for a change and the position I applied for is a huge career mover for me.

SO again I asked for the power of positive thinking! Help! Dust me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh honey - I''m sure if you thought it went that well (and it certainly sounds like it did!!) it probably did go that well. I think in this economic climate, it is just taking companies a little longer to make all kinds of hiring decisions.

Lots of companies have extremely slow moving HR departments, and the company you interviewed with seems like it has strict rules regarding hiring.

Still sending good thoughts - I really think in this case that no news is good news. FYI, for my dream job that I''ll be moving to TX for and starting in the Fall, I interviewed on 10/17, and didn''t get final word until 12/3, so hang in there!

Don''t worry about not hearing anything. DH had his first interview with the company he currently works for in Sept. of 2007. He was hired in March of 2008. After something like 7 interviews. My point is that some companies take their sweeeeeeet time. Have patience girlfriend!

Hi all, I have sorta been MIA.

The hiring manager emailed me yesterday and said they were going to be deciding on the candidate today and extending an offer on Monday or Tuesday.
