This is probably a dumb question, but I''m wondering about registering online through Bed, Bath, and Beyond potentially. If you register online, do your guests have to order items through the website? Or, if the items are available in the local store, can guests access the registry (created online) there and purchase in the store? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

That''s not a dumb question! Some stores do work that way, but rest assured that Bed Bath and Beyond is very user friendly, and a registry started (or added to) in store and online are the same. In fact, I found it easier to start my registry online rather than deal with the pushy clerks at the store. They wanted me to register for towels in EVERY color... ummmm... no? So click away all you want and know that your guests can shop in store or online.

One thing to be aware of... a lot of things online aren''t available in store. They can be ordered, but not just picked up anywhere... it usually tells you though. And visit a few different stores if you want because some of the products are "regional" (that''s what they said...) and be aware of seasonal items as well.

I did most of my registries (for baby and wedding) online. SO much easier IMHO. I highly suggest it! Like Sum said most can also be bought in the store.

Do make sure that you''re not filling up your registry with web-only items, though - periodically, go to a local store and see how much stuff is actually in-store when you print off your registry.

The one thing that I think BBB ROCKS at though is the wall of kitchen gizmos - the guy who helped us got us through it in about 5 mins flat, where it would have taken DH and me literally an hour. I had excellent experience registering in person at BBB, but apparently a couple of my guests had difficulty ordering a few items that weren''t in the store.

Thanks for the info!!!
