Wedding Dress try on!

#1 is my favorite, but you seem look really happy in #2 and it''s beautiful as well (I kinda feel like the veil is overpowering the dress though)

Gwyn, I was wearing heels in all of them lol I'm really that short. I can show you pictures of what I look like in #2 standing off the platform, but they are in another computer now...Thanks again everyone! I'll be looking forward to trying on more dresses on Tuesday. IF I decide on David's Bridal, I'll go back to try on #1 and #2 again.

I concur that number one is overall the best on you! Great with your figure and not overpowering.

I like 2 the best and then 1. I think the 3rd and 4th are too poofy on you and overwhelm your figure.

may I give a tip as being another short bride? I''ve been to 2 bridal stores. in the 1st one they also put me on a stand and of course all the dresses look stunning as they are then at the length they were made for. in the 2nd store they refused to put me on a stand because they said sometimes when a dress gets shortened it can suddenly make you look shorter or wider and that is why they let me see the dress at the length it would be. this is especially the case with layered material dresses which I like - maybe not so much with more simple a-line styles. so maybe when you have your eye on a dress, also step off the stand (even though it will all get folded at the bottom) and see if the dress still has the same effect. then you will get a better idea at what the dress will look like at your length.

The first one look fabulous on you. The second one is pretty too, but it''s look a little overwhelming on your small frame. Not a big fan of the other two.

Noel, great advice on the platform thing. I''m 5''0" and totally wish someone had told me not to bother with the platform. I did get to walk around the store with my dress on, and I *THINK* it looked ok.

I know the feeling. Im only 5 feet myself. Fiance is 6 foot 5 inches so I am going to look even shorter! I am probably biased because, for me, i wanted my dress to give an illusion that i was a lil taller lol

Thanks everyone for your reply! #2 was actually my favorite, and we were ready to buy it in a heartbeat if I wasn''t weary about DB reputations.

After trying on some other dresses at anther bridal salon, I''ve decided on a different one. This bridal salon doesn''t allow pictures so I have nothing to show

They also refused to tell me the brand name and style number, but I''m such a good internet surfer that I''ve found it

I want to buy it from bestbridalprices.com, but does anyone know how good they are? I think it''s either them or netbride.com. Opinions appreciated!!

Thanks for those who suggested Jinny''s and Alfred Angelo in Huntington Beach. Courtney in AA was especially wonderful. If I had found my dress there, I would definitely use her.

Number 2 looks AMAZING! That is actually the same dress that my best friend has picked out for her wedding - but it is an absolutely gorgeous dress.

I decided on Casablanca 1827. I would have never picked it out based on the magazine pictures. It''s true when they say you have to try on dresses to be sure!

Very pretty. Be sure to post pictures when you are allowed to. I got my dress from netbride.com and was very happy with it.
