I''m not a round expert at all...but here''s some initial feedback, also for a post "bump" so others can chime in. I ran the HCA tool https://www.pricescope.com/cutadviser.asp and they all got great scores. I also put the dimensions up because I like to see size...I think it makes a difference, too. And, the main thing that is different about #2 is that it is a G and the others are all F''s (D - E - F are all colorless, G - J are near colorless). I don''t think you will see much difference between F and G, but some people are more color sensitive than others.

1. HCA 1.8 with ex/ex/vg/vg – 6.03 x 6.06
2. HCA 1.8 with ex/vg/vg/vg – 6.14 x 6.21
3. HCA 1.4 with ex/ex/ex/vg – 5.98 x 6.01
4. HCA 1.1 with ex/ex/ex/vg – 6 x 6.05
5. HCA 1.3 with ex/ex/ex/vg – 6.01 x 6.04

The last 2 have the best scores in terms of light performance, fire, scintillation and spread. I like how #5 looks in the pictures.

Not sure if any of this helps!!

Thanks!

I now have it narrowed down to these:

[1]
http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/5224/

[2]
http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/4726/

[3]
http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/5485/

1 & 2 are basically identical, 1 has a 1.1-ex on the cut analysis, and 2 has a 1.5-ex on the cut analysis...but I don''t know enough about the nitty gritty statistics or the location of the inclusion to decide which is the superior diamond.

I put in option 3because i''m struggling with deciding on diamond color. I''m unsure how much weight to place on the difference in visible color between an F and a J. I know that face down you can tell the difference, but when the diamond is set? I am having a hard time justifying getting the F over the J. The other nice thing is that it is slightly heavier (0.9) over options 1 & 2 (0.83)...but alas...this increases the width/length of the diamond by 0.1mm...so it probably won''t be noticeable. Help!

IMO the inclusion won''t matter much if you can''t see it with your eyes (eye clean), and you would only have to check on that or verify it if it is an SI1 or below. In the VS1 - VS2 I wouldn''t worry about it. And, you will definitely see a visual difference between an F and a J, no question. a J will still most likely face up pretty white, but will have more "warmth" than an F for sure. You would be able to tell the difference with the diamonds side by side. BUT, that being said, by itself in its own setting you might be okay. If you are getting sidestones or any pave in the setting, you might be able to tell.

I would give GOG a call - Jonathan is a wealth of information and I would trust him completely to tell me the pros and cons of the differences and to give his expert opinion of the "better" diamond.

They all look great, the last diamond has an older GIA report but I wouldn''t worry with a vendor such as GOG, that won''t be a problem. What I would do is ask Jon which one might be the best, and if he has time he might be able to make a comparison video for you.
