Stone 3 would be my choice.

I dont like the faceting pattern on stone 1 and between 2 and 3, 3 looks like it has more red.

FYI - Stone 2 is a 1.52 G VS1, and Stone 3 is a 1.53 G VS2

Same as I posted before ....love the crisp facets on #2 and the ASET, #3 Aset looks very good as well...lots of red, so it would be between these two...I would ask the gemologist which one is the best performer in their opinion.

#1 idealscope is not good imo...too much leakage under the table. Take a look at the cushion idealscopes on goodoldgold.com

Your stone #2 faceting looks better (more crisp especially under the table) than some of these modern cushions on GOG IMO.

when it looks mushy, smeary gray and not crisp under the table there will be some leakage. You can see that effect in the ASETS and idealscope images

FYI - Stone 2 is a 1.52 G VS1, and Stone 3 is a 1.53 G VS2

I love stone 3!!!! It's a combo of 1 +2! So perfect! I like the idealscope of #1 despite what you're being told. It's a cushion, so leakage under the table is expect (both of your other options have it too).

Am I crazy or do I see a small black shadow at 2:00 on the table of stone 3?

Stone 1: 66.7% Depth, 62 Table


Stone 2: 58 table, 71 depth


Stone 3: 55 table, 68 depth

Two things. 1 all the pictures are REALLY ZOOMED IN!!!! A VS2 is eye clean, but you should 2. call and verify. Unless it's a VVS2 or above, I'd always want to verify that it's eye clean.

You didn't post the measurements but stone 3 is more shallow so it probably faces up larger than #2. I certainly like the smaller table on #3 as well which would produce a higher crown....so I think you made a good choice. I don't think that inclusion at 2:30 will be visible to the eye. Hope you like it in person.

I cannot express how much gratitude i have for your thoughts/opinions, etc. as I have gone through this process. It has probably been frustrating to all of you and I apologize but my desire to seek you opinions is a testament to your expertise and general niceness.

As an FYI, the stone is a 1.53 G VS2, 55 table, 68.5 depth, 7.23 X 6.37 X 4.36. Excellent polish and very good symmetry. Thanks!

I just got back from an independent appraiser and he verified the GIA cert and the stone and then he wanted to guess how much i paid for it. Meanwhile, another colleague of his came in and they both did an independent calculation and showed me their estimate. One was $2500 higher than what I paid B2C Jewels and the other was $2700 higher!!! He said that the purchase was a 'steal'.
