Double rose cut halo

As some of you know, I am toying with a reset. Caysie asked me "what about a double halo?" I don't like double halos. Well, I didn't until I found this beauty:



My OEC is a .93 (6mm) and would replace the sapphire. Caysie would make it with new rose cuts, this ring isn't for sale. My stone:





I REALLY like the new trend of mixing old cuts. Is there anyone good with photoshop (I suck!!!) That could pop this stone in the setting to cover the sapphire? It would help me picture it better! Thanks!

Hm....you certainly would satisfy the finger coverage factor . To my eyes your OEC in the double rose cut halo gets lost and I don't get to appreciate the beauty of your OEC. The sapphire works because it's blue and there is a clear differentiation. Possibly doing it in two tone YG/Plat would help with allowing your OEC to pop, but with how large that double rose cut halo is it seems to diminish your beautiful OEC. This is just me of course, so feel free to ignore .

While I am not a huge fan of double halo’s, I would loove to rock this look. I prefer the look with the sapphire just a bit more because of the contrast. It will also look great with the OEC: a very royal look

The engagement ring of queen-mother of the Netherlands is gorgeous. It is a bit similar to your ring. But I loooove it with the rose cuts

I had the same thought. Rose cuts can be quite pretty, but they don't work for everyone. I'd rather have OECs.

Large rose cuts can be fun but small rose cuts can add very little to the look imho. I’d rather have just an all metal halo. It’s not my ring of course- so whatever you like- but I would be careful because I’d hate for it to be another reset that doesn’t work out

I have NOT decided on this ring. My cluster ring is still on consignment. I am just toying with ideas. I would have to see what Caysie came up with for a design before I gave the ok.

I am in nooooooo rush to start something.

Pretty! Actually, my ring sold. I'm pretty tempted to just use that money and take my family on an amazing vacation next spring!!! We'll see. Also hankering for one of Jon's AVC moissys...
