This is mainly for the PS gals out there..but does your SO wear sweaters? FI seems resistant to them. He''ll wear a pullover, but only likes t-shirts and polos for some reason. Is your SO that way? I think he would look so handsome in a sweater! Oh well, just thought I''d see if it''s just him or a guy thing in general.

FI absolutely refuses to wear sweaters, but his reason is that he gets too hot. Since he wears short sleeved polos to work throughout the entire winter (and it gets cold here), I''ll take him at his word

I did get him to buy one sweater once and he looks so handsome in it

He has one sweater, I think...but he''ll wear hoodies every single day. He also likes thermals.

Mine wears sweaters all the time. Usually, it''s something like this (by the way, this is not him, lol):

HI:

Plain. Cashmere usually, with a light tee underneath.

cheers--Sharon

My DH likes lightweight sweaters, so I get him a lot of very thin merino wool type things. But he also gets hot so wears short sleeves most of the winter.

Cashmere is like . . . I don''t even have the words to describe it. It''s like fashion meets comfort food. Any person that has never worn a cashmere sweater would seriously convert after they did.

DH doesn''t wear sweaters very often, but I LOVE IT when he does! He looks so nice in a sweater! His favorite sweater (and my favorite sweater on him) is a kind of moss green colored one from LL Bean that I bought him for Christmas a few years ago . . . love the way it matches his eyes!!!

Not really - he has a couple his mother bought him, but he much prefers more casual clothing (or, for work and fancy occasions, a simple collared shirt and tie).

Aw my DH doesn''t like sweaters! He has a great body too (like the model in the above pic) but doesn''t think they look good on him. Maybe I should buy him some for xmas?

My fiance wears them all the time! I love it when it gets cold because he starts wearing sweaters and he looks like such a little dreamboat in them!

Mine has never worn a sweater and doesn''t even own one!

Okay so it''s not just him it seems. Well maybe I''ll buy him one for Christmas and nicely ask him to wear it. It worked with the pink polo!

And if he doesn''t wear it..weeell oh well. Still

my nerdy guy..lol.

The merino sweaters are thin enough that they won''t even notice them.

nope, usually hoodies or a fleece. i want to get him into the habit of wearing them though, maybe then he wouldn''t look like a high school student

Mine wears sweaters almost everyday during the winter! But he''s the kind of guy who dresses up all the time, like never wears a t-shirt out of the house, so it kind of fits his personality.

Never. I''d love to see him in a sweater, but he usually wears a trendy button-down shirt, or long-sleeve knit shirts. I think he''s too old for hoodies, but I think he''d look really cute in one of those, too.

Hubby wears sweaters and button down shirts in the winter and polos and button down shirts in the summer. I use to work with a lot of men and I recall most of them would wear sweaters, about 20% only wore shirts and ties.

BF is more of a t-shirt and jeans guy...but lately it''s been so cold that he''s been wearing more sweaters. I highly encourage it, since I love how he looks in sweaters...I bought him two from JCrew for Christmas too

Nope my hubby won''t wear sweaters, says he gets too hot. I wish he would though, he looks so darn handsome in them!!!

Ditto this! No way will my hubby wear them. He''s hot all the time! Cold here, though, is 60 degrees! I guess he doesn''t need them.

DH put "sweaters" on his Xmas list last year and got 9 total from our parents, so I''d definitely call him a sweater guy. He has all types except for wool - and probably owns more than I do. He works in a field where he wears a lot of khakis and polos/button-downs during warmer months, so the sweater is pretty essential for winters in IA.

Oh, and on the same note, I just talked him into a sweater vest earlier this fall...it''s adorable on him.

Well we live in S. Florida where the coldest it gets is about 60 so no sweaters for him. He does have a few sweater jackets that he''ll wear just because he has them. I think all men look so yummy in sweaters. Gotta love the cold!

I''ve never seen my husband in a sweater in the five years we''ve been together. He won''t wear them because he gets too hot. He lives in short sleeves and shorts.

Absolutely NO sweaters for DH. But, I prefer it that way. Sweaters look funny with boots!!

FI wears sweaters on a pretty regular basis in the winter. He wears a collared shirt underneath for business casual.

Sarah, you have given me a great idea for one more small present for him! Thanks!

Yes, he mostly wears a light sweater, usually a v-neck, layered with a t-shirt.

HI Penn:

No argument there---a little hug with someone wearing cashmere would be enuf for a conversion.....

We always seem to be lucky in our cashmere buys--we hit the outlet malls in PS (yes, yes we go to Cali to buy sweaters...LOL) and have found wonderful items at Etro and Tse the last two years...this year I even bought a (small men''s) cashmere hoodie (Tse) for myself!!!

cheers--Sharon

Yes, he wears them all the time but they have to be very light ones because he gets too warm otherwise. It''s really too bad that he won''t wear a chunky sweater like a cable knit. I have a thing about cable knits and he would look so hot in one!
