The "Show me your breautiful solitaire" thread convinced me to go with one. Because the PS "regulars" are much more savvy and diamontelligent than I, please tell me if something like this exists ...

6 prong solitaire setting for .90-1ct stone
Yellow for shank but w/plat prong
Straight side to snug up against band.
Possible combination ??
The graceful Legato style head of LynnB's, but make it 6 prong
Whiteflash Sleekline type shank, ala Katiedid and Jenn5504, but in yellow
(may actually prefer the color of 14k over 18k).
Opinions on this band ??
I have been incredibly inspired by Cehrabehra's vision ... hers is drop-dead gorgeous!
Custom is probably out of question, but 2-tone might be found. How about yellow on the sides, platinum/white in center and milgrain along the white edges. I loved her description: "looks like a field of diamonds with a satin ribbon layed across the top." If Sara doesn't mind, maybe mine can be a field of dandelions with a ribbon on top.

The diamond? Still stone shopping, but won't be mauled.
Thanks to all of you for inspiring and educating ... !

Butterbean, if you talk to Whiteflash, they seem to not mind combining elements from different rings if you can give them photos and explain what you want...

I agree, I am sure they can do it for you. Just for fun, I photoshoped the pic WF gave me of my Sleekline Legato (like Katydid''s) to make the band gold for you. The solitaire really is lovely. HTH!

Also, did you see this one... it is a two-tone that takes my breath away!

Alleyoop,
Thanks! I somehow had missed that one, but you''re right - it IS beautiful. I will ask if they have any hand shots of it with bands of any type.
I especially appreciate your photoshopping skills and that you took the time to do it for me! That''s very pretty, too ... graceful and curved.
Frankly, since I began looking at settings a few months ago, I have changed my mind and preference more times than I care to admit to. I had hoped to know exactly what I wanted so that when my SO asks what I would like, I''d easily be able to tell him. It''s turning out to be a more difficult choice than I expected. It''s wonderful and frustrating at the same time.

surfgirl,
Thanks for the info. I will ask if they have already done one like this; maybe they did
I will also try photoshopping it, as Alleyoop did for me. That will probably help, too. I need to make sure I''m not going to change my mind again, though.
Committing to the man was easy; committing to a setting is not.
