This ring is suppose to look like its an antique but it is actually new. Given that, do you think the imperfections are appropriate? Would you say this looks like poor workmanship or not? I do like the imperfections I just want your opinion before I purchase.
Thanks!

Those prongs would be unacceptable to me. I can't make the pictures big enough to really be able to tell any detail on my computer, but it doesn't look great from far away.

For me, the metal halo isn't round enough (a little off-round) and the prongs are not symmetrical at all.

The center stone really looks like it is sitting on unfinished prongs and not set. A good setter could vastly improve the prongs appearances with some skillful work. I can't see much of what may be wrong with the rest. Looks like a solder joint is visible right at the base of the shank at the bottom of the ring. Maybe a ding in one side is showing near an upper edge of the shank. Those are fixable. reproductions of old styles tend to be a bit clumsy and heavy handed due to the way they are made versus the way old rings were made. Also, a new ring is heavier than a well worn estate ring. No one wants a new ring to come already rather worn out and thin. New must be somewhat heavier. In a couple decades it will thin out.

Though I don't think any of the pictures are straight on, the prongs look super crooked. Also the metal halo, as was already said before. Not round at all. There seems to be some major issues with the casting all over. :| I don't think it being vintage inspired is any excuse to lousy quality.

Somebody like David Klass or Caysie van Bebber could see this and make you one that is better, in my opinion. Never settle for poor workmanship.
