I am writing to see if you think this is a real Tiifany Etoile solitaire. It just seems a little too good to be true:

I wrote asking for more pics but haven''t heard back yet. I just can''t fathom this being only around $2K (when it was purchased for close to $10K 4 years ago) and was never worn. Also, the box is gray b/c it''s a UK Tiffany ring box.

$2000 is just the starting minimum bid. I''d never buy something like this from someone with only 8 feedback, and they also won''t take Paypal. So no way would I bid on it. There''s no way to know if it is real or not.

The seller only has 8 positive feedbacks, and the only payment methods they accept offer you you zero protection. If they took PayPal it might be worth a look (IF - and only if - you were covered for the full transaction value)... but otherwise, I wouldn''t even think about it.

I wasn''t aware that UK Tiffany boxes were a different colour, but that''s almost by the by.

UK Tiffany boxes aren''t a different color (at least they weren''t when I was last there. I would be very wary of this one,especially as paypal isn''t accepted.

You guys were right, BTW. Upon checking this seller''s feedback, they scammed 2 people recently and the account is no longer active. :-/ Thanks for the advice!

BTW, you are right, bee*. I think the black suede box appears gray in some pictures. n looking at more Tiifany listings, I realized this.

Have you contacted Signed Pieces to tell them what you are waiting for? I read somewhere on PS that someone did this and SP called them very soon to say they had the desired item in stock.
