I bought a diamond from blue nile which has "surface graining is not show" in the comments. After reading the numerous posts on this site about surface graining (excelent information, thank you all), I'm confident that it will be a non-issue.
However, I'm curious, since the graining is not workmanship related, is it included in the polish grade? Would the polish GIA grade be lower on an identical stone that shows more surface graining?
