only the people of PS will fully understand my logic, so please indulge me as I share:

A few minutes ago, DH mumbled the following, "I'm going to go to Costco tomorrow and pick up a bigger tv.". What??? So here's my idea: he gets a bigger tv at Costco, I get a bigger diamond at the case next to the TVs. Not that I'm really thinking of shopping at Costco for a diamond, but he's suddenly given up the new tv idea. Haha. Even browsing PS doesn't distract me THAT much!

I can see that scenario as if I were there! He's been thinking about this for some time, wondering what is the best approach, finally decided to try just slipping it in on you. Exactly what my DH would do. I agree w/Kenny, whatever size tv he gets, your new diamond matches it. LMAO.

LOL, I actually love it when my dh wants something because even though he is so generous and would tell me just to get whatever I want I feel less guilty when he wants something too if that makes sense. And usually what he wants is way less than what I want (not always though as that garage he wants is going to cost more than a nice car ). For example, we really need to be saving up right now but my dh knows it is a long time b/w jewelry purchases for me (Valentine's Day to my bday is 6 long months! ) so a number of years ago we instituted (at his suggestion) a cinco de mayo gift giving celebration. Anyway, we suspended it when the recession hit but he suggested re re-institute it again. So I asked what does he want and he is not sure but he knows I am looking for a necklace. So I said we can start up the cinco de mayo gift giving again but only if he gets something too so he kindly acquiesced. Point being, I love it when we can both get something. Win/win.

So, I say, let your dh get the big tv (you'll enjoy that too!) and you can get whatever you have had your eye on lately...

You go gurl! you get yourself a honking new diamond the moment he makes another electronic comment - that'll teach him to mess with the master!!! (perhaps investigate other options BEFORE Costco? just a thought... )

As it turns out, I went to Costco today, and of course I passed through both the electronics and jewelry sections. Doesn't hurt to look!

60" flat screen --- yep, that gets you something pretty sweet from the glass cases right beside!!!

You should match his play by play on this one - as he shows you photos of his TV/electronic fantasies, just copy/paste your diamond fantasies... if nothing else, gets your wish list going for whatever occasion is next in your world

He ain't got nothin', when you have the world of PS backing you up!!
