Does anyone have a large I1 stone that they truly enjoy?

I like sparkly I1 stones, I am just wondering if anyone else does, and if so do you have pictures you can share?

I'm not sure what you would consider to be large, but I have an 1.67 F I1 H&A from GOG that is the one of prettiest diamond I've seen in real life :)

Mine is not large, but looks big on my hand! ;) I1 all the way!!!   I TRULY enjoy it.

HI:

I don't know what you mean by "large" but I had two Ideal, H & A, AGS 0 certed I1's, over a carat each, I wore in my ears. One was Cut by Infinity the other from GOG (Tolk.). They were amazing!

cheers--Sharon

I do; it's not GIA graded, but came from my mom. It's 2.25 tcw and prob I1 - it sparkles like mad - drop dead gorgeous! Compliments every time I wear it. My mom wore it for many many years and I was always gaga over it. Only now that I own it did I discover it has quite a few inclusions. It obviously must be cut well, and it's very white.

That is stunning!! Very nice indeed!! :appl:

That is a good size stone for sure! I would love to see it!

It looks amazing in that setting!!! :appl:

Everytime I see hand shots of your ring.. I want a POH in a similar setting. I love your ring! :lickout:

Here's pic of my 1.02ct F I1 pendant and my new upgrade e ring of 3.16 carat H I1...

Both photo are taken with washroom lighting... IRL, I have received tons of compliment with my ring as it's excellent cut and sparkly like mad!

They are not I1, surely?! They're beautiful and so clean!! would it be possible to have a larger image of the 3ct? It's generally very hard to get larger stones with I1 grading.

Congrats on the other PS'ers for owning beautiful I1 stones.

Incidentally, about 5 years ago, there was this amazing 5ct I1 stone on JA and they told me that it was very eye-clean. It was suuuuuch a GREAT deal at $30k or so. I still kick myself for not having grabbed it. As expected, the stone was gone within a few days of being listed.

Thanks Phoenix! Here are few more pics of the ring taken indoor with natural daylight and the second pic has shown the inclusion quite accurately! There are two feathers located at one o'clock (close to top right prongs) and 7 o'clock (inverted U shape towards 6 o'clock) and both are non surface reaching. I can also see some crystals in that pic but IRL, I can only see the feathers when I stare at it at 4 inches distance~~

I was really fortunate to find this eye clean I1 at a reasonable price after trading in my 2ct~ My mom also own a 2 ct F I1 solitaire ring and it's also eye clean with Twinning Wisp

No personal experience but can't wait to see a video on GOG of this AVR 4c J I2 honker. Megascope looks like a lively stone in spite of being an I2. Lots of black...guess you could put it in a pendant.

GOG has several videos of I1 stones...you might search their videos. people don't realize how small a diamond actually is and a white blemish that is slightly visible can still be a lovely diamond.

Grapegravity, thanks for posting the pics. That is one very beautiful and CLEAN I1 stone!

Congrats, congrats! You lucky duckie! How did you manage to find this beauty? It's like a needle in a haystack.

Hehe, it was by luck! Because since my first original e ring was purchased
10 years ago with People's (Zales sub company in Canada), I can only upgrade with them. Actually, this my 5th upgrade with people's!

Long story short, my SA (who works for the largest peoples store in western canada and it's three hours drive from me) was able to source this eye clean excellent cut I1 (and canadian diamond!) for me.

And the day the ring arrived at her store, my husband was nice enough to drop everthing at work and drive to go with me all the way there and back all in one day ( 6 hours round trip + 1 speeding tickets) just to look at this ring and made the decision of upgrade on the spot since it is truly a very nice I1 and the cost of upgrade was affordable.

So yup, it was pure luck!

Thank you! I love my ring too, and am so happy with it. It's crazy sparkly. Thank goodness GOG carries I1 stones so I could get something nice in our budget!

Thanks! I totally agree! It's been 15 years since we met each other in high school and he has been spoiling me ever since

He even mentioned just recently that there will be future upgrades coming and let him know if I see a nice 4-5ct oec around... Hehehe..

Thanks! I'm really blessed to have him as my DH ::)

And We were really lucky to have my SA worked in my favor and went against the store policy of 'upgrade amount must be double of the original rings price'. We ended up only paying difference of the trade which is around 25% of the original 2ct ring price.

These I1 stones are absolutely amazing, I can't believe how clear they are. Beautiful diamonds

I have an I1 that is set into a pendant. It is .79cts and it was given to me on my wedding day so I have sentimental attachment to it. I don't wear it often, but I would hate to sell it. I might just bezel set it and give it to my daughter when she is old enough to wear it.

It looks very nice but when I get within 6 inches of it I can really tell with all the inclusions. I should say I assume it is an I1 but it is not graded - or at least I was never given a lab report on it. Anyhow the inclusions sort of drive me nuts at times. I wish I had an I1 that some of the PSers have posted because I can't see a thing on theres!

I have discovered that I do not mind inclusion at all as long s they are off to the side :)) I would buy an I1 in a second if the inclusions was white and hard to find and at the periphery. I've seen many diamonds in the last year and some were SI2 stones and have never been able to see any inclusions in any of them, even with my loupe, when the inclusions were off to the side.
