Does anybody have a bezel set round, in a cushion shaped bezel?

I love bezels and I have a small round I'd like to set. But I'm not a huge fan of round bezels on my already too-round fingers! So I was thinking I could do a cushion shaped bezel. But I can't recall ever seeing such a thing on PS - or anywhere for that matter. I've seen rounds in cushion-shaped diamond halos, but not in plain metal.

So - anyone? Anyone? Thank you always for your help. :wavey:

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, however, this is one of my inspiration ring settings for a round in a squarish setting, which is what I would set my Tsavorite from Jeff W if I end up keeping it, with an added air line/gap.

Ooooh whatcha setting? This should be fun!

We have seen a few cushion shaped halos on rounds throughout the years.

To throw another idea out there—-what about an octagonal bezel or faux bezel? I loved the one @LLJsmom had.

I'm now starting to wonder, of course, where my head was when I said I couldn't remember seeing any on PS! I think I'm narrowing it down - to something somewhere in between Coati's double bezel and the double bezel that used to belong to....to...oh man, I'm getting old! I know this woman's name perfectly well and am having a complete blank! She had the ideal double bezel, in my opinion.

Oh this is sending me NUTS! Can someone remind me of this lovely PriceScoper's name??

Just to clarify - I'm aware this is a 1.4ct AVC, but I think the design could be pretty easily translated. I believe this stunning ring was sold within the last year or so? I know it was for sale and I can't conceive it not selling.

ETA x 2 What does it say, that I can remember the stats on her diamond but not her name? I'm so sorry, lovely PSer with the gorgeous ring whose name I should remember!

@Tonks - I've accumulated a few things I haven't posted and will do a larger post when I have this piece done as well. This current project is to use the 1.09ct round I have, which I *was* planning to have set between 2 pears. I also had a 2.02ct round, and decided it was a better fit for the pears, so I did that as a three stone.

So that leaves me with the 1.09, which is hugely special for reasons that will become apparent when it's set and I do a post about it. Since it's a small stone, I think a double bezel with inner milgrain might work well. My major inspiration ring is this:

the 1st is most response to your request, but the other ring designs could be easily modified for a round center ... the 1st is Erika Winters IIRC and the last is Annette Tillander, the others I believe are antique

Mine is round and in a cushionish faux bezel. It may not be what you are looking for. I had some examples saved of rounds set in cushion bezels. Going to look for them.

Thank you for the photo of your gorgeous ring. Can I ask - are the eight sides all equal length?

My concern about the cushion design, is the amount of metal it would require in the corners. I don't want anything heavy (it's only a small diamond). So I'm going back and forth - a lot - and all suggestions are welcome.

I should start out by saying that this project started with a glass of wine and a quick spur of the moment purchase. :lol-2:I have never considered a transitional diamond because I love the Old Euro small tables and higher crowns.
