Just wondering how many women actually sleep with their erings and/or wbands on?

Personally, I take all jewelry off before going to sleep and I always wonder if it doesn''t bother people to sleep with rings on? I cant sleep with earrings on either. Bugs me no end...

I find it terribly uncomfortable to sleep with my rings on (between my fingers swelling, the spinning of the ring, and tossing & turning in my sleep), so no rings in bed for us.

ETA
But I keep my pendant and earrings on. For some reason, they don't bother me as much.

Most of the time I sleep with all my jewelry on (rings, pendant, and studs). Once in a while, I''ll sleep without my rings on.

While I''m honestly not aware of my rings being on, I take my ering off just because I don''t want oils from the sheets making it dirtier, plus I''m affraid I wack it on my headboard in my sleep.

I sleep with my rings and (usually) my earrings. Any necklaces/bracelets/watches come off.

My hands swell in my sleep, so it''s not comfortable, plus I''m a total klutz and it''s more likely to be damaged while I''m asleep and thrashing about than it is resting comfortably in the jewelry box. Though it is insured, I''d like to be able to at least remember when I bang it!

I don''t have my wedding ring (on me) yet, but it''s a 5-stone prong-set so same deal... it will sleep in the jewelry box.

Ditto, plus I worry about catching a prong in a blanket! I keep my wedding ring on, but remove all other jewellery.

I couldn''t vote Surf...I don''t wear a wedding band yet, but I do sleep with my engagement ring on. It has become a part of me and I don''t feel the same without it on me!! Not sure what I will do once I get to wear the WB though. I would imagine the sound/vibration of them rubbing together would bother me...so maybe I would try wearing the ering on my right hand.

Hi Surfgirl.

I voted I never take mine off.

When I was a little girl I was rewarded with wearing my mothers jewelry. There was one exception...NEVER TAKE IT OFF MYSELF. Only she was allowed to remove it. She knew that girls always tried on each others stuff. And traded for the day. And her motto was if you keep it on, you can''t loose it. When it is attached...it is attached.

I lost a piece once during gym class when my coach demanded I remove MY james avery kitten charm necklace. I put it in my locker, and when I returned some evil girls had been in there the whole time with wire coat hangers and got it fished out of the locker. Coach interrupted me while I was confronting evil girl----to just let it go. Arghhh. I cried all day.

The other time I was in HS wearing my "steady" bf''s class ring that was wrapped in yarn to fit me. I took it off at the movies, so the yarn wouldn''t get wet, to wash my hands...my girlfriends and I walked out of the washroom got 10 miles down the road realized I had left it and flew back to get it...whew it was the last show of the night...and it was still on the counter. He had spent over $800 on that silly ring...I spent my entire future healthy blood pressure in that small window of time. (little did I know the Steady bf had plans that night...set me up to go with a gaggle of girls while he was out with the guys...NOT...he was on his first date with his new squeeze!!! In hindsight...wish that ring had not been there when I returned. I had to later relinquish the "crown" and hand it over to the next younger better and prettier reining QUEEN!!!

Long story cliff notes...I don''t take them off when I sleep. Was that the original question??

My hubby calls me the "Princess and the Pea." hehehe. I can''t sleep w/my jewlery. I tried . . . it bothers me too much.

I leave on my earrings (they are always studs) but not any other jewelry. My necklaces get trapped in my cleavage (I''m a side sleeper) and leave marks.

I don''t wear rings either, because I am a bit of a spaz in my sleep. I managed to sprain my wrist while I slept a few times. So, to avoid stabbing my FI in the face while I smack my arms around, I have to take them off.

DNS, wow that quite a saga but I expect nothing less from you "Windy"

. Too bad you couldn''t have lost that loser''s ring!

I''m surprised so many of you can sleep with your rings on! What with my very sharp girdle, I think I''d either cut one of us moving around, or cut my sheets.

Plus, I like the idea of my precious sleeping in its own little place. I know, it''s crazy but...I never could sleep with jewelry on.

Ellen, I did chuckle at your post, being afraid you''d whack it on your headboard...what exactly are you doing that you''d whack it on your headboard? Inquiring minds want to know...

I take them off before going to bed, if not before. I don''t like wearing them around the house. I have a ring holder next to my bed, and take them off as soon as I am home for the rest of the day. I don''t sleep with earrings on either.

I only take mine off to clean them! There have been just a couple of times I''ve taken them off before going to bed, and I inevitably forget to put them back on in the morning, which has resulted in my being late to work because I have to turn around and go back home to get them, or feeling weird at work all day without them on my hand. So I''m in the DKS camp: don''t take them off and you won''t lose them/forget them.

I usually wear my plain wedding band to bed and no other jewelry. Earrings bug me the most though.

Same with me! I pop them in the ultrasonic when I''m showering, but that''s the only time they''re off my finger... otherwise there is no way I''d remember to put them back on again... I am way too scatter-brained in the morning!

Amber waves....VA VA VA Voom! I look at your precious little avatar and picture you as a little dainty petite belle. Never even knowing you were a bombshell!!

SURFGIRL....there you go again making remarkes about the length of my posts. Next time I will reply with a yes or a no. (In your dreams!!)

Ellen...Evil? He was cross between Tony Danza and Sylvester Stallone. Had the best car...bought me a fur coat (at the time I thought it was cool)...and diamonds...ran the state records in defense (football) and well not half as cute as my hubby but at the time he hung the moon for me. Scorned? Yeah. I too am ashamed of my thought...I''m a bad bad bad girl.

Kaleigh...You just may hear my knees creakin in the night...just go back to sleep and call your insurance man. It is afterall your loot that will make me complete. (Oh, I don''t mean to tie you two together...I mean Kaleigh is not the girl who has MY class ring....I just meant I want her Tiffany and eternity and all the custom stuff...and now I know where it is....You aren''t her, are YOU???)

DKS

Funny thing happened the other day. My husband woke up with a rather large scratch on his hand the other day. He accused my ring of scratching him in the middle of the night.
4.gif
Maybe I should start sleeping without my rings on!
5.gif

I always take my rings off at night. My fingers seem to swell and the feeling of tight rings drives me nuts. I do sleep with my martini set diamond stud earrings though. It must be because they''re set so low I don''t really feel them.

I take it all off before bed because I''ve scratched myself in my sleep before when I''ve left them on.

I can''t wear earrings to bed - they hurt if I lie on them. I usually wear my ring to bed as its a little bit tight and it hurts to keep taking it on and off. Plus I wouldn''t be able to get it back on in the morning after my fingers swell a little bit through the night. I don''t want to let anyone size it down as I am losing weight
1.gif

I sleep with it on usually but more because I''m lazy than anything else! My stone is also small enough to be non-obtrusive.

I leave my e-ring on... I've only been wearing it for 4 months and I don't yet get that "naked finger" feeling when it's not there. I like that feeling
5.gif
so I never take it off. Trying to "train" my finger, I suppose.

I wear an antiquey (fay cullen) eternity band on my right hand that's just a *smidge* too tight... THAT I take off when I sleep.

DKS: I do have a bit of a top shelf, as family refers to it! My little guy in the avatar is still a little guy, as he's a mini dachshund.

I'd also like to mention it's harder to sleep with a knee brace and wrist wrapping! I don't know how I do it.
14.gif

No. I don''t sleep in my jewelry.

When I walk in the door from work, all jewelry (earrings, pendants, rings, bracelet, watch) come off and go into my jewelery box. I don''t put them back on again unless I''m going out that evening or until the next morning when I leave the house for work.

Also when I get home, I change into comfy clothes like sweats or shorts or something.

So that''s my regular routine when I walk in the door, jewelery off, comfy clothes on!

I ususally sleep in my wedding set and my earrings, because normally I wear either pearl or diamond studs and they don''t bother me much. If I wore hoop earrings that day, I will take those off, but I will usually put my studs in before going to bed. I guess I''m paranoid about my piercing holes closing up while I''m asleep...lol.

I usually remove my watch, and any bracelets or necklaces I was wearing. And sometimes whatever right hand ring I was wearing.
