Do you have a different ER for different times?

I have a 2ct ruby in a diamond LOGR setting that sits quite high.

I can be a bit of a worrier myself, so when I do more hands on things I prefer not to wear it in case I damage it.

But I still like a bit of sparkle so I tend to wear a smaller RHR as my ER.

Sometimes I may switch simply depending on my mood!

There will always be a place in my heart for my ER which I wear 90% of the time. But sometimes I find it nice to switch it up a bit.

Are there any other PSers out there that do this aswell?

Hi Adah =)

I do that as well!! Mostly i just wear my pave ring that FI got for our first anniversary. I love my e-ring but i''m scared of knocking it about as i''m quite clumsy... I recently bought a loose princess stone that i will set in a more durable setting for everyday wear.

Your ER is huge btw!!!

Cindy

Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Hehe thanks, remember its not the size that matters - its the sparkle....

haha this is true...

i wish that someday i can have a two carat anything =)

My FI jokes around when i say that by going into the kitchen and handing me two carrots LOL

I dont do that, but then again I only have one ring that could be used as a ering

lol, but i do wear different wedding bands depending on what i am doing that day and alot of times i dont wear the ering at all.

I don''t switch up erings (my fiance would be sad if I wore a different ring in its place), but I do plan to switch up my wedding bands. I have a mokume band that matches his, and a shared prong diamond band.

I do this all the time. I am in my asscher aqua phase at the moment.

I have my original ering, and my five year upgrade ering, I wear my original only if my other ring is in the "shop" to get fixed, remounted, whatever, I however wear my band more than both ering combined though.

I don''t, but I am planning on switching up my wedding band a little bit. I''ll always wear the real one though, even if I have to switch it to my right hand for a different look on my left.

i do this, depending on how I feel, where I am going to be at and if I just want to change it up a bit.

On friday I had my larger round brilliant, yesterday I had my pear on.

If I am going somewhere where I want to be inconspicuous, I wear my smaller set.

No I haven''t done that. I usually wear my 15 year anniversary diamond ring and my wedding ring. I switch out my RHR almost daily though.

I know some PSers have a "more substantial" wedding band that they wear alone for very active days.

I have a few rings I can use as an ER but only wear them if my wedding rings are in the shop.

Hi Everyone!

I switch it up a bit and my co-workers (mostly men) think I am crazy.

I have a 3 stone rhr and a lovely cushion with a pave halo e-ring... I am a bit tough on my hands so I found myself wearing the stone anniv ring with my wedding band more often b/c I was afraid to hurt the pave on the cushion.

So I tend to wear the cushion (original e-ring) on my right hand when I am not doing anything hard on my hands, and the 3 stone with the wedding band most of the time.

What can I say? I am spoiled

I was actually thinking about this because my ering is a little bulky and it wouldn''t be smart to wear it when it could get hurt. However, I think, once we are married I will just then wear my wedding band.

As for right now, when we are going places I dont want to wear my ering (i.e Rock concerts) I wear a substitute in its place.

I''ve heard of people getting CZs for vacation or whatnot. Is this common?

Sometimes I just wear my wedding band if Im at work or doing something that could get my hands dirty...

Yup! I do this. When I go on ski vacations, I have these CZ rings that I wear in lieu of my actual wedding rings. I bought them off eBay for really cheap, but they look nice. If you don''t stare at them for a long time, they actually look real!

The only time I don''t wear mine is on vacation. I want an inexpensive ring to wear at the beach and not worry about it. It''s a blingy band that everyone thinks is real

I only have one ER so there isn''t any ring to switch with. Often, I only wear my wedding band and I guess that would be my "switched" look. I''m looking around for more wedding bands and will mix and match them. Mine is an antique Artcarved and I''d like to collect more of those.

To quote MMT, I have a "blingy'' three stone ring I sometimes wear in place of my ering. (Shhhhh, please don''t tell...) Wearing it right now, in fact, as my ering is at the jewelers being placed in it''s brand new setting for my 20th anniv. this month. I may switch them more often now, as the new ring will be white gold, and the three stone is yellow. We''ll see. As long as I''m wearing one of them, or one of my bands, I feel okay.

I switch around quite often. My original band is a wide yellow gold with antiquing in black and a cross and vine design. I traded in my first engagement ring at 3 years. (Long story) My second is a solitare in a ring guard with rubies. I have a yellow gold seven stone for 25th anniversary,
and and eternity, five stone and solitare in platinum and palladium. I mix them all up. Sometimes I wear the plat eternity with the yellow gold
original, but I switch them according to what I am doing or going. I wear mine on vacation. If we are staying in a hotel I bring just what I can
wear, if were going to the beach and staying in our 5th wheel, I bring a ton!

To me, the fun of it is switching it up. Sometimes I even pic my clothing to match the jewelry I want to wear!

I''m definitely in the minority here. I love my ering so much I can''t even bear to wear any other ring, not even a wedding band or RHR, because that just seems to distract from the ering. There are so many beautiful rings I love though. Someday, I may give in and get a diamond band, and I''ve always wanted a yellow diamond ring. When I don''t want to risk my ering, I just go without.

I wear my e-ring with various wedding bands on my left hand. I love my e-ring so much, that I always like to leave it in the place of honour (except when taking pics of my RHRs).

I have a 4 ct pink sapphire that I wear when my engagement ring is in the shop.

while i was waiting for my reset, i had some gemstone rings made to fit my ring finger, so i have those, but since my ring was finished, i''ve been too in love to switch for now
3.gif
maybe if i go on vacation or something and don''t want to bring my e-ring

I have an 18K yellow gold wedding band (about 5mm wide) set with diamonds that I wear somethimes depending on the color of clothing or other jewelry I have on. Then sometimes I wear my engagement ring by itself (it is platinum) depending on what I''m wearing. It''s kind of a long story how I ended up with a nonmatching wedding band and ering. But it works. I like having the flexibility to wear one or the other.
