HA! That''s funny. I like the idea of sprucing up ''ol farts with tattoos and piercings. I think I feel a side business coming on . . .

I know people comment on us when we''re out and I''m wearing heels because I am significantly taller than DH anyway, so I can really tower over him if I''m all dressed up. DH is one of those shorter, smallish guys, too, and ''small'' just isn''t a word you''d use to describe me. A guy once came up to DH in a bar and said something like ''Dude, you must be really confident to date such a tall chick.''

The Haven . . . A coffeeshop/bookstore/tattoo cafe! Eclectic for sure!

We comment on both sexes. But I find that most of the time, we comment on women. We tend to find a lot of women attractive. I don''t know what says about us . . . I have a confession though, when i first met Nate, I wasn''t attracted to him at all.

We occasionally comment on people of both genders, but not very often. Usually it's because he asks me what I think and I answer honestly, and then he tells me what he thinks (we almost always agree). My favorite, though, was one night when my FI and I went to dinner with friends, but were coming from different places so we met up at the restaurant. My FI said that, on his way, he saw this girl a half-block ahead with a great body and he thought she'd probably be really hot...and then he saw her go into the restaurant we were meeting up at and thought, hmmm...and when he got there and saw what I was wearing, the "really hot girl" turned out to be me.

Hehe.

ETA: I don't want to sound conceited, it was just what he said. And it's nice to think that he appreciates me even when he doesn't know it's actually me!

That''s really interesting! I wonder if it''s the same phenomenon as most of the straight women on this thread saying they mostly (or ONLY) comment on other women in front of their guys, or if it''s something different.

My husband says it''s easier to notice/comment on women because they''re the ones peacocking

but I don''t think it''s just us.......

I can''t do the poll because I need clarification on what is a ''comment''.

I hate when I overhear couples saying either in front of each other or not ''that x is sooooo hot; I''d love a go!'' Because I feel it is offensive to their SO. I would hate if DH acted like that.

But sometimes we will be watching a movie and say - do you think he/she is attractive? Usually in reference to somebody winning hottest man/woman of the year and our disbelief.

So I didn''t vote.

Ditto. We both comment on celebrities (most often me teasing him about his crush on Elisha Cuthbert and him teasing me about mine on Johnny Depp. lol)

In "real" life however, looking is ok (well, you can''t just conveniently go blind when a real hottie is walking by, right?

) But commenting-eh, not really.

I voted 4 though cause in my mind celebrities are an exception to the rule.

I voted 1, I''m happy to comment on someone of either sex whose appearance strikes me. My husband never does though, I can reel off my ''freebie 5'' but he has nothing, even when I really prompt him. Except Kate Beckinsale, but only when she''s wearing the leather outfit from Underworld.

We had a funny experience recently though, we met a woman who was a friend of DH''s late father, who was so lovely and charming I think DH was quite taken with her, I teased him about it but he wouldn''t admit it.

Yeah, I''m worried about the movie, but I''m trying to see them as two separate entities. I love the book and read it several times a year, but I love Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams, and I trust them to at least work on the *characters* instead of focusing on whether or not the movie will be a big hit, so I''m hopeful. I know that no matter what I''m going to drag BF to go see it whenever it *finally* comes out (it''s been pushed back a few times).
