Do you believe there's a "secret recipe" in cutting MRB H&A stones?

WF ACA, CBI and BGD have their own top secret recipe?

I do remember seeing something that Brian Gavin put out on his blog about how H&A stones are cut. So the “method” is already there (it’s been there since the 1980s as I understand after the Japanese started calling them H&A stones).

I see the super ideal vendors as having specific ranges that they would prefer to stay within, ensuring that optical symmetry is taken into account (not just meet-point) along with a philosophy of not cutting for weight, but beauty. That’s the “secret sauce”/Animal secret menu to me. Maybe some of the secret recipe is in the fine tuning of ancillary angles and ancillary facet placement.

I’m only guessing, but I don’t expect @Texas Leaguer or @Paul-Antwerp or @Victor Canera to reveal their trade secrets to us!

Dancing Fire!!! Do you just like to stir up trouble??? :evil2: Those are all great hearts and arrows diamonds. I do not believe in any secret sauce. I am sure I'd be happy with stones from all three. If they'd like to send me some to see how happy I'd be, I am willing to submit to the test! In the meanwhile, I am completely happy with my WF ACAS and don't believe there are any that are "better".

Agree 101%!. depending on who have the right stone that I'm looking for at the time of purchase.

In regards to cutting, I think there is no secret.
There are many thousands of talented chefs who can produce Michelin star quality dishes. But, earning a Michelin star is more than just fine cooking. You gotta have staff, ingredients, management skills, good relationship with suppliers, marketing skills, etc...
Producing super ideal cut diamonds should be relatively easy. Doing it consistently in a large volumn while making profit and building brand reputation is a whole another level.

Yes, we have our special sauce:Up_to_something2:. But we don't keep it secret! :eek2: In fact, we publish in detail the specification and qualifications for our brand. :read:

We welcome new companies to join our 'niche' in precision cut diamonds. There is a big market out there of potential clients who are not yet aware of the benefits of H&A diamonds.

yes the cutters that cut them do, process.
The end product is a result of the process.
Which are closely guarded secrets.

Note I'm not talking about the products, I am answering the question if the cutters have secrets.
