Hello all! I just purchased a pavel wedding band, I will be receiving it tomorrow. I''m a little nervous, do I need to be worried about diamond constantly falling out? I hear a lot of people say that they are always needing to have diamonds replaced. Are pave bands O.k. for everyday wear? Can they withstand very mild accidental abuse? I guess Im just a little nervous, I don''t want to get the ring and then be afraid to wear it...

Any feedback would be great!

Depends on the workmanship of the jeweller. I have had my pave band for 2 years and none of the diamonds have fallen out.

if you trust your jeweller''s work then you shouldn''t worry.

Enjoy your ring :)

thank you. I feel like I just need reassurance.

Some jewelers stand behind their work and will replace diamonds for free if lost...so you may want to see their policies. Typically, a lot of good jewelers you won''t have problems with!

I have a ring with over 100 small pave set diamonds, in the three sided halo, shank and sides. In two years, I have had one diamond fall out. My jeweler does have a policy to replace pave stones for life, so that is definitely helpful. My one piece of advice is to get it inspected every 6 months if you can. They check all the stones, prongs, etc. Prevention goes a long way. Also be careful how you clean it. The ultrasound is not my friend.

My e-ring and wedding band have pave... I have never lost a stone. (Yet

) Depends on the craftsmanship of the ring. BTW- I am pretty rough with my hands, and my rings are jerked around and such ALL THE TIME!! I even wore them to Cedar Pointe and went on all of the roller coasters, and I still have all of my stones.

I have a micropave ring (Ritani) as well and work in a lab-hands are always in and out of gloves several times a day (I have been very careful though!) and so far have not had any problems with it and we got it from a jeweler that will replace any diamond (even the center one!) if any were to fall out!
P.S. Tuckins1, cedar point is the best place ever! Gotta love it!

Another prevention technique is to put your ring in your jewelry box after you get home. I have pave all around my e-ring and I use to wear it all the time even in bed. I''ve only had one little stone fall off and it was replaced, but I can sometimes be too hard on my ring and I don''t need to have it on when I''m working in the garden or doing other household chores or in bed when I have a habit of throwing my arms over my head and it hits the headboard all the time.

It really depends on the craftsmanship. I''ve had a pave wedding band and ering for almost six years and I''ve never lost a stone. I don''t baby my rings, but I don''t sleep in them and never use an ultrasonic.

I think it depends on a couple of things: quality of pave and how hard you are on your hands. I''ve had my e-ring for 2 years now and wear it at all times...gym, cooking, taking dogs out, etc. No problems with stones falling out. I have a 3-sided eternity pave RHR which I am more careful with and take off when I get home.
If I were you, I would wear and enjoy! Can''t wait to see pictures of your pretty w-band!

I don''t think you have to worry about pave'' if the piece is made well. I have loads of pave'' jewelry and I''ve lost only one stone out of a ring and one stone out of an earring (which got replaced for free because it was a Sonia piece). Then too, if you have the maker standing behind his or her quality, they''ll always repair it for nothing or close to nothing.

Thanks everyone for your replies! I feel better about it now.
