Wedding Do I give up on the dress coming?

Hi Everyone,

If you''ve been following any or all of my incredibly long dress search, I recently tried on a Maggie I liked (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/would-like-your-opinion-on-these-dresses-please.71301/) but also found a Casablanca I really wanted to try on before I made a final decision. A nearby store said they''d get the dress on loan for me from the designer, so I''ve been waiting. Well, turns out whatever store had it before- hasn''t returned it when it was due back to Casablanca, so I''m still waiting, and now I''ve hit the SIX MONTH MARK until the wedding. And I''m getting more nervous by the day. The local store has no idea when it will come; we''re basically at the badly-borrowing store''s mercy right now.

I''m sure it won''t take all 6 months to get either dress, but I would expect that it potentially could. What do I do?

Is that truly the only sample of the Casablanca gown that the company has? Is there another store near you (or not near you) that carries Casablanca? It might be worth calling around to see if you can try it on elsewhere. If you really love it you can still order it through the brial salon you''ve been working with.

It''s Casablanca 1963 (http://www.casablancabridal.com/Products/Detail.asp?View=F&ModelNo=1863&Cat=Spring%20Collection&SubCat=2007#) In the whole town of Houston, yes, the 4th largest city in the country!, no one carries this darned dress! I don''t know how many factory samples Casablanca lends out at a time. It is VERY Frustrating!

Did you try the store locater on casablanca''s website and call everyone in your area??
That''s what I did with the Maggie dress that I wanted to try on, I wouldn''t wait much longer, find that dress!!

On the website it says that there''s a trunk show next weekend in Colleyville. I don''t know how far that is from you, but it might be worth calling that salon to see if they have/can get the gown since they''re hosting an event.
