DIY Gifts

I would love to know what you all make as gifts each year. This year I had the kids make christmas ornaments out of cookie cutters and we are going to paint them and add them to gifts.

I have give the "bakers jar" before and little coupons....

What are some of the gifts you all have made before?

I was thinking about making a heating pad for FFI.....

i poke a little hole in the bottom of an egg and then lightly blow the contents out.. i then hand paint them and then cover them in diamond dust.. they are so so beautiful as ornaments!

I usually make baked goods and candy for friends and neighbors. I''ve also done cocoa mix in mugs for the kids'' friends.

Making a heating pad? How would you do that. I''m so interested.

Hi Alexis,
For the last couple of years, I''ve made turtles for co-workers and teachers. Last year, I made double chocolate chip cookies too and gave everyone a mix. Lots of compliments and fun to make. I put them in chinese take-out containers or little holiday baggies and they make great gifts.

this year I took blank note cards and decorated them and put the initial of each persons last name for everyone... it was fun but time consuming... 12 cards per set and 4 sets...

I also went and bought these really cute purses/handbags and I am going to hot fix swavorski crystals to them with each persons initials on them too...

I also was going to make homemade calendars with each pictures too... but havent decided if I wanted start that project yet... might take a while!

I also am going to make cookies for everyone too (they love my baked goods! )

I am making coasters (I''ll attach picture, but they are not mine..I prefer the colors I chose in mine hehe).
I am also making scarves for those in my wedding party (which is 4 days before Christmas).
I was thinking of making candy apples as treats for the presents, but time will probably be short.

I also make cartoons, so for my sister- I''ve made their whole family in cartoon format that I will have framed in a fairly large picture frame (black and white) that I know she''ll love!
