Has anyone ever gone to Disneyland on Christmas Day? Is it usually crowded?

It is usually pretty crowded, but much much better than Christmas Eve or on the 26th.

Not sure about X-Mas, but new years is packed!

My friend goes every year (she lives in Anaheim and has an annual pass, and worked there in high school) on Xmas day. She says it''s one of the least busy days around that time--people go on christmas eve, and then give tickets as gifts on christmas day and go on the days following.

I''ve done it before in 2000. It was the first time I''ve been to a Disneyland other than the one in Japan, and I hated it. Sure it was empty, but it was dirty, people working there hated being there because it was Christmas day, and I didn''t get any magical spirit from it. Now that I''ve been in CA longer, I know that the worker''s attitude and the dirtiness is a year long thing just pronounced stronger on Christmas day.

If you are simply looking for a least crowded time to get on the rides, go for it. But if you are looking for a magical time, I would say skip it. If you can, go to Florida! My parents told me that Disney World is much cleaner and people are nicer.

Totally true! Comparing disneyland to disney world is like comparing a pair of old tennis shoes to a new, tricked out pair. The old pair gets the job done, sort of, it has all the vital stuff... but the new pair? Cleaner, cushier, more features--why bother with the old pair?

Unless, of course, you live close to the old sneakers... er, I mean Disneyland... and it''s more of a fun diversion than a ''trip.''

I lived right by Disneyland as I kid, and went almost evry week at some point, so for me it would be sort of like going home. But if I had to make an Event of it, I''d still pick Disney World. It''s almost its own little planet. :P
