before you got married, I'm sure that there were a lot of married couples who will told you that you wouldn't have sex on your wedding night because you would be way too tired. but did you?

this is supposed to be a "fun" question, so if it's too personal please do not feel that you have to share and just secretly enjoy everyone else's response.

we didn't (consum)mate
27.gif
on our wedding day.

I thought DH would want to because he's usually up for it any day of the year, but he said to me, "Do you mind if we don't? I'm really tired." haha! of course, I didn't mind. we'd been doing it for the 7 years we knew each other so it wasn't like this was THE moment we'd both been living for, and I can count on one hand the times that DH hasn't wanted to
31.gif
. plus we more than made up for it during our honeymoon.

Nope. We didn''t get to the hotel until almost midnight and we had to get up a 4:00 am to drive an hour to the airport to leave for our HM. We went back asked each other if we wanted to have a go, admitted that neither of us did, and passed out. Admittedly we''d both been up super late the night before and I was up at 6 and went non-stop all day. I can understand if a couple waited for their wedding night to be the first time, but DH and I "knew" each other well enough by then to let it go. Once we were refreshed and on our honeymoon we went at it like bunnies. Ahhh I miss those days...

We did! We got back to the hotel super late, and we were SO EXHAUSTED... but discovered they had upgraded us to a jacuzzi suite on the nicest level of the hotel! So as tired as we were, we HAD to take advantage of the delicious bubbles to ease our aching muscles, and then that nakey time led to more nakey time...

It's a good thing that brunch the next day wasn't until noon! I mean, I always wake up early (I think I was up before 8am the next day) but we had forgotten to bring a bag with us (or ANYTHING!) I had to wear my robe to my parents room, and then wear my moms clothes to drive to our house to pick up clothes for us to wear! Hahahaha. What a dork I was not to even think about what we might need the next day!!

Yes we did!

We didn't get to the hotel until almost midnight. THEN we were starving, bc we didn't eat much at the wedding, so we went to the lobby and asked if anything was open that would deliver, waited for the food. Went upstairs, ate burgers and fries. THEN showered and I put on something nice
31.gif
- but I swear we didn't get to it until at least 4 am.... slept 2 hours, then caught our flight out.....

Yes.

I can''t remember
33.gif
I can''t remember anything that happened after dinner - and no, I don''t drink. We "eloped" with about 11 people there then went out to dinner.

We did! We didn''t wind up eating dinner until about 1:30 am (yay NYC!), so we had some energy at the end of the night. It was lovely, then we fell asleep in each others arms. Best day ever.

Nope. We spent an hour picking the hundreds of bobby pins out of my hair, and then counted our money and passed out.

Nope. We were way too tired. We didn''t arrive at the hotel till after 2 AM and then we just crashed. The next morning after the wedding night however was a different story
9.gif

Not us! We were ridiculously exhausted and just went to sleep. Sometimes I bring it up, to joke about, and DH says "We do not talk about that". Hahaha. I guess we both feel kind of bad that we missed out on it, but then we think about how tired we were and it doesn't seem like a big deal.

eta: I feel like we hardly even did it on our honeymoon! But in our defense, we go all out on vacation - waking up early, planning a million activities, so we were really really tired every night.

Sadly the card opening/money counting also was a priority on our wedding night. That''s what happens when you forget your ATM card in a random mall ATM machine the day before you''re leaving the country! Thank god for the guests who gave us cash!

No we were way too tired because none of our friends wanted to leave our room that night - even though I kept commenting how exhausted I was they all just agreed that they were too yet they didn''t leave!
20.gif

hahaha....great question!

we did, and it was pretty funny. DH got a little more wastey-faced than originally planned on, and we lost our bag with all of our clothes/toothbrushes/lingerie
13.gif
/etc. so we had no choice but to get naked and get busy! due to DH''s umm, condition, it wasn''t very romantic, and that''s why i say it was kinda funny.

LOL I forgot about that. We were also so active during our honeymoon (3 weeks in Italy) that we weren''t making love as often as we did when we were dating! We woke up so early everyday and got back to the hotels so late every evening that we probably only slept together a handful of times during those 3 weeks. But we made up for it when we got back home for sure!
31.gif

Yep. Like elle, I made DH pick the bobby pins out of my hair (good hubby
11.gif
). We took a shower, DTD, then I asked if he wanted to order room service because we hadn''t had any dinner (it was a lunch reception). Got a snore in response, so I just went to sleep, too.

oh yah... opening up wedding presents also took precedent on our wedding night. guess DH was too curious. we didn''t have many gifts because I actually told everyone NOT to get us anything that we have to shlep with us on our honeymoon, but you know people don''t listen. anyway, I wish he hadn''t opened them because afterwards I didn''t know who got us what!

Yes we did, but then again we waited until our wedding night for our "first time" so we sure weren''t going to wait another night!!
3.gif

We got to the hotel around 1 in the morning, spent about an hour taking my dress off, taking the bobby pins out of my hair, taking the fake eyelashes off (they may have looked pretty but they made me feel like I had spiders on my eyes!), and we each took showers. Then we decided we were starving so we called room service to warm up some food for us and we ate a whole dinner at 3 in the morning! We had some chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, I changed into something else
31.gif
, and then we spent about 20 minutes staring at each other because I was kinda nervous. So we talked for a little while and then ......
30.gif
..... And afterwards we took a relaxing bath and fell asleep IN THE BATHTUB!

We finally got to sleep in our bed sometime around 6 in the morning.

Lilac - that is so romantic!

looks like past-midnight meals were often followed by calorie-burning exercise!

Oh man. The debacle that was our wedding night...

I was trying to leave and trying to deal with drunk people to send food to our room because I was starving.

DH was definitely more tipsy than he should have been.

When we finally got to the room, he tried to undo the buttons on my dress. Got about 4 open then got frustrated and gave up. I had to turn the bodice around and do it myself.

The idiot groomsman forgot to bring DH''s bag of stuff to our room, then wouldn''t answer his phone. DH went down there and was pounding on the door. No answer. He managed to convince the receptionist to give him a key, and by that point he was beyond pissed.

He got back to the room, I had some food and we hopped in the tub but I was so exhausted and just over it that I was crying. We finally passed out at 2am.

It was soooo romantic.

Nope. And didn't until a week afterward.

We got back to the room, got my dress off, and went downstairs for a snack (Hostess cupcakes) and to mail out our wedding announcements, and then watched part of a movie and passed out.

The next morning to night I was terribly sick with body/muscle aches, chills, stomach issues and a headache (this was sunday), then the next day (monday) he had the same thing I had had the day before, and then the next day Aunt Flo came to town.

Oh gosh, that doesn''t sound fun. I''m so sorry that happened! But I''m sure you''ve made up for it since, right?

And there''s always the first anniversary to re-create what you *wish* had happened!
9.gif

Sure did! I waited until I was married to have sex, so you better believe that no matter how tired we were, it was GOING TO HAPPEN, LOL!

Oh yeah. You know it!

I think we''re going to have to go get a hotel room for our first anniversary, since we''re moving in with my dad, there is entirely too much opportunity for awkwardness in that whole situation.

Ahh yes that could turn into a really memorable "embarrassing moment." You want it to be memorable anniversary... but not for that reason!

Well, if all goes according to plan, we''ll get to have our actual honeymoon around there. So maybe we''ll even be out of town for that, and won''t have to go get a hotel room...who knows!

But yeah, that''s just weird. It just has a certain ick factor.
3.gif

Nope! We got back to our room around 3am, and I had a bit much to drink by that time. Plus, we had to be up by 7am for our brunch with our guests!

We surely made up for it on our honeymoon in Tahiti...nothing much to do than swim and have sex! Besides, it's pretty easy to get spontaneously naked with just a bathing suit on
3.gif

Technically, no - it was around 3am when we got around to it, but since we hadn''t been to bed, I guess it can be counted as the same day! It was ridiculously adorable, too.

Yes! Partly because everyone told us we wouldnt...
2.gif

Yeah we did.

Even though we were exhausted because we had a morning wedding (so I woke up at 5 to start getting ready) AND we went to fireworks after our reception (it was the 4th of July) AND we stayed out with friends and family for a long time after, we made it happen that night. We were both pretty charged up after all the events of the day.

We honeymooned in St. John, so there wasn''t much to do other than hike, swim, lay around on the sand, and get busy. It was the best.

Nope, I was puking at our reception because I got to the hunger point of no return and then got sick. My friend, mom and aunt took me out of my dress and took my hair out, I cried because I was so nauseous and hungry and couldn''t eat any of the food they brought up to our room. I had to find my bag because my bro gave it to my mom...DH went to smoke half a cigar with the drunken partying fools
20.gif
and when he came back we soaked in our tub of bubbles, opened all our gifts and then passed out. We got plenty busy on our H-moon though
