Hi there,

I have just recently purchased an engagement ring and was wondering if I had gotten a good deal -

GIA certified
.60 carats
Color: E
Clarity: SI1
Cut: not sure where to look in the certification for this info

Platinum band and Tiffany setting

I paid 2,000 plus tax. Thank you for all opinions!

I think those that can help you here need more information, like the GIA certification number, or better yet for you to scan and post the document, and description of the setting...and maybe a picture of the ring as well.

GIA certification attached! I was unable to take a good picture...

Edit: The setting is just called a "Tiffany" setting, it has four prongs. The rest of the band is plain. The band and prongs are platinum.

The only comp I can find is $1450 online, plus setting, so you likely paid a fair price.

Whether it is well cut or not is another question!

Thank you for the reply -

How would I go about finding out about the cut?

Also - typically what is a "good" deal on a platinum ring of this type of setting?

a platinum Tiffany solitaire is $650 at blue nile.

as far as cut, GIA does not grade cut of princesses so we have no way to know.
