Diamonds on struts affect center stone color?

For those in the know...

Will having diamonds on the struts help the center-stone appear whiter? Reference settings similar to the Emilya halo...

I am looking at a GIA J color stone and was wondering if the stones on the struts would help whiten the center-stone?

How does a center diamond look in a setting like this compared to out of a setting? Will it appear whiter?

The diamonds on the struts aren't even facing the center stone, so no, they will not affect the center stone color. J is J and will have a subtle tint. But it isn't really noticeable unless you have it next to a more colorless stone.

My advice is to look for a J with blue fluorescence and that may help the color a bit.
