I have seen a few posts on Diamonds International. I never paid much attention to it until now, because we just came back from an incredible cruise to Alaska, and the above store has outlets in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway. They also have stores in the Carribean. The Princess cruise line pushes the hell out of it, that is because they get a percentage of sales that the store makes when the ship comes into port. They offer a free ankle/wrist bracelet and a different charm to put on it in each port, to get you into the store.
I did go into one of the stores and looked at the diamonds and other stuff. I think that any savvy shopper can do better in price on the internet with watches and jewelry, so their prices were not that good. I also looked at a few diamonds, some had certs and some did not, the sales people pushed what ever they had, I did not think the quality or prices were good, compared to the prices/quality of the vendors from PS. One loose diamond was showcased and I look at it and the GIA cert that was next to it, unfortunately, the cert and the diamond did not match, when I asked the sales person why not, she said it was just an example of the GIA certs they have in the store. I asked her for the cert of the diamond, but she could not easily locate it.
So buyer beware.
