I have been trying to capture this dark gray diamond in its brightest. Here is my most recent attempt. It is difficult to get the exact right amount and type of light to enter the diamond while being a good distance away from the diamond and having the diamond a good distance away from the background. Is there anything else that I could fine tune for this diamond's unique fire?

Are you looking to show its colour in bright light?

Or its fire in optimal lighting?

The video seems to capture the former well, but as mentioned previously, a lot of bright spotlights will increase the potential for fire.


If you are shooting videos to form part of a sales listing, though, you should shoot to show it how it usually looks, in order to not 'over-sell' it and disappoint a buyer.
