Hello Everyone-
Ok, so am ready to buy diamond studs from GOG, 2.34cttw, H&A but it comes without AGS or GIA certification. I want to shop smart and make sure I am a smart shopper. Is it a smart idea to buy diamonds wihtout certification? My husband is a little concerned. Can we buy the earrings and then get AGS or GIA cert or is it better to buy loose diamonds and choose the setting? THe advantage for premounted earrings is that it is a cheaper but I don''t mind paying a little more and get the certification. I also don''t know if ever will upgrade them or not, I guess we never know, I just want to be prepared if we will.
I am a little owerwhelmed with the information about diamonds. I am ready to purchase but want to do the right move.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Since you aren''t sure if you want to upgrade, you would do better to keep your options open and stick with stones that allow you that choice down the road.

In your position, I''d likely opt for stones with grading reports instead.
