Hi Everyone! This is my first post, I love looking at all your beautiful rings and reading your fantastic stories. My boyfriend and I are about to begin our search for an e-ring. I have been doing a little looking online and I think I have found a perfect setting. I want to know if any of you have a similar setting, and I would love to see some hand pics if you have them. Here is the picture of what I like. I like the idea of having a simple solitaire setting, but this one has small diamonds up the prongs. The size diamond I will get is most likely between .5-.7 carats. I was wondering if you all think this would look good. Also, this has a euro shank. I have a ring I wear on my right hand now that spins all the time. Do any of you have a euro shank? Does it stop the spinning? Thanks a lot for all your help!

Hi and welcome to PS.

Micheal b makes a solitaire setting with diamonds just on the prongs. I believe you can see a picture on his website. www.michaelbjewelry.com. I honestly thing the diamond prongs might be too much on a .5-.7 stone. Have you seen the setting you posted in person? I'd ask your jeweler about it.

ETA: ok, just checked and the picture isn't there any longer. I think a pricescoper has the setting. i'll see if I can find it and I'll post it here.

Thanks for your help, mrssalvo. No, I haven''t stopped by the jeweler to see it yet. We are in the VERY beginning stages of looking. He doesn''t even know the amount of looking that I have actually done

. I just want to have some idea of what I like before we start going to jewelry stores together. It is so addicting to look at rings online!

It''s hard to know what will look good with a smaller (.5-.7 carat) stone. I want something dainty and simple, but not too plain.

I wouldn''t recommend diamonds on the prongs for that size... you could do a halo but those prongs with the diamonds on them are rather large and need a pretty large stone to offset them rather than be overwhelmed by them.
