Can anyone please help and tell me what a fair price to pay for the following would be.

UGS Cert/Appraisal

Round Brilliant Diamonds
6.31-6.28 x 4.30mm
2.10 tcw

Clarity Grade SI3
Color Grade H/I
Culet - None
Fluorescence - None

Girgle inscribed

Thanks so much for any expertise or knowledge in advance.

That is not enough information to have any idea of the value of the stones. Start by looking for GIA excellent cut and no lower than SI2. SI3 is usually equal to I1 (and SI3 is not a GIA grade). Some people are lucky to find a good I1 for earrings, but you'd need to be working with a trustworhty vendor who might be willing to look at a lot of stones for you before finding stones that are eyeclean enough.

Thanks so much for the reply, sorry for being so vague, as it is kind of how I felt about the available info as well. I feel that I am fairly knowledgeable about blilliant round stones after buying my wifes engagement ring a few years back, and spending much time on it.

Buying these studs however, is a completely different ball game to me as I am now obviously looking at much lower quality stones because of the application and they all seem to vary so much. I have looked at many different pairs recently and these stones in question seem to be cut very well as they have great fire to them. They are clean to my eye and even when really trying to look closely with the naked eye, it is hard to find anything. Under 10x you can obvioulsy see quite a bit, but tio be honest have really seen much worse under the scope that were supposedly in the SI2 range. Have also seen many that were graded higher have not even close to the same fire, which is again obviously due to the cut.

All in all, I was just hoping to get a ballpark price range from someone with more knowledge that deals with them more regularly. Once again, any help or pricing help would be most appreciated.

Thanks

A 1+ carat RB at 6.3mm had better come with a really good explanation to be worthy of further consideration, IMO.

If it's not an RB but an older style of cut - that's a good explanation. The only one I can think of, in fact. If that's the size you want you may as well drop down to (well-proportioned) 1.8ish ctw and avoid the 2ctw premium...

I'd agree with Yssie. A 1 carat stone should face up at minimum of 6.4mm. You'd be paying a 1 ct. price for stones that look smaller. I would never go with uncerted stones in stones a carat or larger. They'd be impossible for us to price due to having no idea of the true specs.
